Update #2: No improvements with the elevator situation and when it does break it’s often left overnight without any urgency to fix the problem. There is clearly no long term solution for this issue because it keeps happening and all management does is “apologize for the inconvenience”.
Update: Elevators are still a major issue and continue to break frequently.

Professional & Friendly concierge staff.
The concierge staff at The Lively in JC are among the first people you see in the morning and the last to see at night, wether returning home or walking your dog, they always have a smile and a sincere welcome home! When you are getting a treat for your pup, a package, having a conversation regarding something happening in the building, Evan and his staff are professional and polite on all levels. Evan and Cyr are two of the original staff at The Lively and seeing them during your day and knowing you are in capable hands is comforting and makes the experience

UPDATE: Evan and the concierge team are still awesome and I would give them 5 stars. However, the change in star rating of this overall review is for the numerous issues the building experiences weekly (elevator, plumbing) and the refusal of the leasing department to work with tenants on lease renewals.

This is my attempt at an objective review to help those who are considering the Lively as their new home. My two largest complaints driving this rating are the issues in the building and our latest lease renewal process.
Building Issues
There have been numerous issues over the 11 months that we have lived at the Lively. I listed these at the end of the review to help put the issues into perspective. These can be summarized into elevator issues and plumbing issues.

I have been living at the lively for over a year and while there have been some challenges, there is one person in particular who is the reason we have stayed. That person is Evan on the concierge team. Evan has made living here feel so naturally like home. He consistently goes absolutely above and beyond his role as he has such a huge heart and an incredible natural ability to lead. His genuine kindness, radiant energy, and deep care for the residents here, makes us the luckiest residents in the world. Evan is family and one of a kind. The Lively is a great building. It has kind and friendly staff who are always extremely helpful especially Evan Rodriguez. There is a real community feel amongst the residents and there are great amenities.
I will say though that the (2) drawbacks are:
- Negotiation on renewals. Management clearly don't value long term tenants.
- There can be a long wait for the Elevators. They break down or are use for move in's and outs.

We have been living here for over 10 months. Though we are happy with the building staff and the apartment itself, there are two reasons that make us regret our decision of living here. First is the constant noises from all the events taking place at the parking lot right across the street in late nights, sometimes they last a whole day until 10, 11pm on weekends, and the windows are not soundproof at all. The second reason is the water issue (hallway flood and no hot water) that happens every now and then. The management should really consider dealing with the noise and water issues.

This review is just about the conierge team at The Lively. I wanted to give them extra credit for going above and beyond on a day to day basis. Evan Rodriguez always makes sure things run smoothly even on those challenging days when everything is going wrong. He and his team have done an amazing job at managing the millions of packages that come in every day, the hundreds of deliveries and visitors that walk in, and making sure we're all safe at night! The whole concierge team is friendly and welcoming which makes this the building feel like a home...the endless dog treats help too! -Steve T.

I recently moved here from london and have been living in the Lively apartments for a little while now. I absolutely love it here. I enjoy all the apartment's amenities; the pool, the gym and the rooftop, where the view is amazing, showing the world trade centre and the statue of liberty. The location is also perfect with it being so close to the city without actually living in the city. Lastly but by no means least, Evan and the rest of the staff are incredible. If any problems arise or for anything at all, they are super quick to respond and help, always making us feel prioritised and well looked
