Services
Early childhood education begins when a child is physically and emotionally ready to explore the world with new people and in new places - separate from the home environment. It is meant to be an extension of the caring and teaching experience the child receives from birth. Preschool emphasizes the principle that children learn through play.
Class runs on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15AM - 11:15AM. Potty training is not required. Class runs in the morning from 9:00AM - 11:30AM. Optional extended day programs also available for children enrolled. Class runs in the morning from 9:00AM - 11:30AM or in the afternoon from 12:30-3:00pm.
Glenview Methodist Preschool is governed and operated by a parent Board of Directors ("BOD") who work with the Director and teachers to oversee the operation of our school. The Board sets policies, procedures and the budget for the school as well as organizing school-wide social and/or fundraising events.
Choosing a preschool for my twin boys was a really big deal for me since one of my guys has a medical condition that greatly impacts his time at school. I researched and visited many preschools, but after meeting with the director and sitting in on a class at GMPS I knew my search was over. The teachers and staff have shown my family and I nothing but warmth and flexibility.
Even Clifford the Big Red Dog stopped by! Paula Moyer Savaiano, came and shared her latest book with us, "My Gramma Takes the Cake", the latest in her book series based on the crazy adventures of her grandma. We are so excited to share this with our GMPS Community. Thank you to everyone that came out last night for our annual Art Show!

We are beyond delighted with Glenview Methodist Preschool! The teachers are outstanding - from their expertise to their absolute delight in making preschool a special place for kids and parents too! Their play based philosophy and attention to your child's needs is remarkable. They have unique and fun approaches to all sorts of things that we want for our kids. Also I am impressed with their approach to food and free time...fruits and veggies for snacks (even from the school garden) and play outside or in the big gym on the super cold and rainy days. You are in excellent hands and have an abundant

Glenview Methodist Preschool has been a huge part of not only our children's lives but ours as well. We have spent the last 5 years there and it has been our community. We love the teachers that know every child's name (even if they aren't assigned to their class), the play-based learning programs that incorporate beneficial lessons that enhance their little minds, and the friendships we all have formed.

This is our first year with a child attending preschool at Glenview Methodist Preschool and we have nothing but wonderful things to say! Our child needed special accommodations for a health condition and the director as well as teachers have done an an amazing job of ensuring our child has a safe and healthy environment. Every day our child is excited to learn and interact with friends and teachers. We look forward to enrolling our younger children as well. We highly recommend GMPS to other families!

We started at GMPS last year after making the change from full time day care to nanny + preschool as we prepared for our third child to arrive. GREAT experience being new to the school. My kids were completely welcomed as was our whole family.
My son who was in the 2's at the time has multiple food allergies and asthma. I've been very impressed with the staff's knowledge on both issues and really appreciate the inclusiveness of the school - modified snacks lists and a peanut free environment!
Now in our second year, both the children and I have made so many friends. And as my oldest started Kindergarten
