Services
We provide services in all areas of eyecare - from determining the proper prescription to monitoring the health of your eye. This is one of our specialties. Our infant vision examinations start in early infancy and continue through the school years. Although young children may not be able to read an eye chart, specialized procedures have been developed that allow us to measure the clarity of sight at almost any age.
Dr. Hanono grew up in Chula Vista and attended Hilltop High School. After graduating from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1979 he came back to the area and joined this practice which had been established in 1954 by the late Dr. Earl S. Foate. He is thankful to all his patients for their trust and for allowing him to take care of them and their families over the last 40 years.

The symptoms of dry eye include: stinging or burning eyes, itchiness around the eyes, eye irritation, scratchy eyes, EXCESS TEARING, fluctuating or blurry vision, eye fatigue, redness and difficulty wearing contact lenses. Computer work and smart phones have made dry eye symptoms more prevalent.

Great experience coming here, I usually don't write reviews but this place deserves it. I'm super picky when it comes to glasses and contacts. Prescription is great, contacts are great, the optometrist was awesome, he was professional and thoroughly explained everything to me, he was also wearing a suit which I appreciated. I got my glasses within 45 minutes, front desk was awesome they were super respectful and no one tried to upsell me towards very expensive glasses or anything like that, which is unheard of, my glasses look like they cost 500.00 but we're actually a steal at under 100.00 with

Dr. Hanono and his staff are excellent. I am Ashkenazi and have a degenerative eye condition that only a handful of doctors are aware of. Dr. H is one of the few. I was told by one doctor that within 5 years I’d be blind. Very bad. I was devasted to hear the news, as one might imagine. My mother recommended I go see Hanono (she also has the condition). 10 years later I can still see clearly! Thank you so much Dr. Hanono.

Hands down one of the best experience when coming to my eye doctor. Not only does he know how to rock a killer suit but he has an amazing staff. Even though the facility is very busy he always find time to give me his personal time just talk behind eye but also family and career. He’s very professional and precise when it comes to being superb eye doctor. Bought my Tom Ford as well as my contacts.

I really enjoyed the customer service at the front desk. It was my first time at the office. I was recommended 2 yrs ago by my daughter in law. Great service and great prices. I arrived at time of appointment and got right in. Did excellent examination explaining everything every step of the way. I was pleased to find a large choice of frames. Had a wide choice of designer frames and the same with lower price frames. The lower price frames had good looking frames. Plus my glasses were ready the next day. The service was excellent and friendly. I am recommending them to all my friends. 5 Stars!!!

I went to Imperial Beach Optometry a while back for an eye exam, and my experience was fantastic. The staff is professional, the wait time was minimal, and the doctor had a great sense of humor and kept the mood light. My experience was such a pleasant one that I decided to purchase my sunglasses there. They didn't have the pair that I wanted in their inventory so they took down my number, ordered them, and called me when they were in. The price was fair and they even helped heat them and mold them to my face to get them to fit better. I will recommend this place to everyone. Thanks for the excellent
