Aura Skin Spa is one of my new favorite places. I had some minor acne scarring on my face and decided to do the Fraxel Restore Dual. I live on the penninsula and there are some places here that do Fraxel but this one had the most professional staff, uses the cutting edge products, and had a very competitive price on the Fraxel package of 3 so I decided to go there.

This review is about 10 years late but every time I look at old pictures I get super bummed still so here I am. I went here for laser hair removal on my face a long time ago (my first time), they went right over a mole I have on my face which I love, it burned my mole and made it blister. When I called the next day they brushed me off and said its fine to go over moles and that it would heal fine. Except what actually happened was the blister scabbed and fell off and my mole is now much smaller and much much lighter than it used to be which I'm still upset about. The attitude I got instead

I’ve had several treatments at Aura. Every treatment has had results beyond my expectations- less painful, less downtime, better outcome! I’ve been to many med spas and compared to the other’s Aura’s equipment seems better maintained, newer and more well researched. Their space is always sparkling clean. The staff is always friendly and professional and there’s never any sales pressure.

This feedback has been sitting with me for awhile. I went to this medspa for laser facials. The space was clean and the staff pays attention to detail. I had an uncomfortable situation where the manager, when prepping me for the treatment, asked me if I was full Asian or half white, not aware that these questions are not appropriate, none of their business, and micro aggressions. When I responded with, "why does it matter?" There was a confused look followed with comments on how her family also was mixed heritage. This was when there were multiple anti Asian violence incidents happening

Dr. Waechter Is the true definition of a master artist! No exaggeration whatsoever. I've been seeing him for under eye filler and Botox for quite some time and have been extremely satisfied and happy with the results. I had a laser hair removal package got my underarms, brazilian, and upper lip areas done here! the service is amazing. Mareya (i think that's how you spell it?) at the front desk is super sweet. I had Cristine as my laser hair specialist and she did an amazing job at helping to make me feel informed and comfortable despite going through something as invasive and painful as laser hair removal! haha.
parking is a bit tough in the area, but they have a paid parking lot right in the back that's not too expensive! plus, Cristine was so fast with my sessions, i barely was ever there longer

First time at Aura Skin Spa and the Service was Superb. Very clean , temperature taken as you come in,which I appreciate. I am a Male and I was very concerned about results , but CARLOS did an amazing job. I got Bottox and fillers . It's so important that you pay attention to these negative reviews! I wish I did. It has been a long time since I came here and I am still paying for fixing how badly Dr. Waechter messed me up. I did smartlipo with him and it not only was the worst decision I've ever made but it's been so expensive trying to fix it. He basically made my stomach look like Tara Reid's after she had her botched lipo and luckily she spoke out about it and gave the name of the doctor who did her revision surgery. This review is about a year late (embarrassing), but I have loved my experiences with Aura Skin Spa. The office staff is wonderful, so friendly and understanding with my fleeting schedules. My favorite injector in the world Susanna is so knowledgeable and a true artist, she will say what's on her mind and give her honest opinion about whether something needs to be touched up or not. I've done a plethora of treatments throughout my months in SF with them and am satisfied with them all. That's EXACTLY what you look for in an injector. I have to say I am truly shocked that this place is still in operation. I had my botched lip injections from Aura almost a decade ago. I was young, scared, naive, and completely taken advantage of by this business, Dr. W and his staff.

Terrible customer service especially from James, Tia and another SNOB back in 2016.

I went and got my beard lasered off, I have 2 treatments left, and I gotta say It's looking hella great. I am hairy like a chia pet, and this has removed like 96 percent so far. I can find a hair here or there, but that's it. I am definitely thinking of going here for more. The price was great.
Also i should say i am a medium brown black man with black hair, so maybe it works better with the new lasers they have now?

Will not come back anymore after finishing current treatment. I brought 4 full legs+underarm treatment on 2015 but didn't see any result. So, I added 1 upper legs and 3 bottom legs treatment on 2017. They only sent email to remind the customer, so I missed one last year. I requested to send message/call me a day before the treatment instead of email.
On Jan treatment, they did call and remind me for apportionment. After treatment, I made appointment for March and requested call/text message reminder before the day of appointment. I totally forgot this appointment. Who will remember appointment

Appearance matters and so does everything else.
First impressions are necessary and that's why I bought their service package. It's great staffing and appointments are required. They charge more than a hundred bucks for no show within 24 hour of no cancellation! Yikes.
