Dr. Shay Nicholas is an accomplished, board-certified physician with a passion for medical aesthetics. Her ideals and enthusiasm reflect her upbringing in a Caribbean Island country, where she was encouraged to become anything she desired to be. Dr. Shay uses her values as motivation to provide her clients with the same opportunity-to live a life filled with confidence.
Our amazing founder and spa director, Jen Guthrie, grew up in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Her resume details a career having worked for several successful corporations, gaining the necessary experience along the way that would eventually see her achieve her lifelong goal: becoming a business founder and owner.
Shiva Seyedabadi is from the Bay Area. She has always had a passion for art and for the beauty industry. As a result, she started her career by advancing her talents as a makeup artist and licensed esthetician. Shiva received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2011 and achieved her Registered Nurse (RN) status.
I think I found the fountain of youth at Nubo Spa. Two weeks ago I went to Dr. Shay for Ultherapy. Everyday I look in the mirror and I am amazed with the results and it is only suppose to get better. Dr. Shay makes sure you are comfortable as she works her magic paying attention giving your 100% of her undivided attention.

Such a bad and unprofessional experience -- I paid $400 for VI peel that did nothing for my face and left me with burns/hyperpigmentation on my neck (when I'd never even had any issues with my neck and didn't even need a peel there -- the woman added it on last minute without talking me through whether it was a good idea).

Please take your time to read through this review because it may spare you a humiliating experience. I scheduled my appt here for PDO thread lift probably in October for December. I was super excited and was willing to wait because they were so busy. When the big day came I walked in the spa is very clean and nice. I am very happy at the professionalism and just the whole way the doctor and her assistant approaches skin care. I recently had a face lift by a very good surgeon. But I needed fillers done afterwards since I am up in years. Usually the derma fillers are to complement the surgery since the surgery can only do so much. I used the suggested lady to do my dermatology fillers at a place suggested by the surgeon. I am not one to review, but Nubo spa surpassed all of my expectations. They were so professional and informative at every step of the way, from scheduling to follow up. The atmosphere is so calming and peaceful. I met with Shiva; she did a complete analysis and evaluation and put a plan together for me. Shiva was so knowledgeable and didn't try to push procedures that I didn't need, and I appreciated it! Thank God I met her and started with her because I look and feel better than I ever have before, and I'm 55. I get lots of compliments now. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Shiva is an amazing injections expert! She has such a wonderful eye for it and knows exactly how to balance the face. I came in for my first time getting any injections done for lip injections and she put me at ease and explained the process to me. I have a slightly lopsided lip so her expertise really helped to adjust where needed to account for that and give me the larger lips but still a natural look that I wanted. I have gone back again for a re-up after awhile and she did a great job the 2nd time also. She makes it not too painful and is careful and checks on me during the procedure to make

I promised that I would do this weeks ago but better now than never. This is an amazing spa with incredible treatments. I received a massage from the therapists after I was in a car accident and rear ended obviously I had experienced whiplash and I got a wonderful massage that helped with the pain and discomfort that I experienced.
I can wait to get other treatments soon. The spa is beautiful, is calming and I love that there is actually a medical doctor onsite for many of the important procedures.

Once again Nubo Spa delivered! First off all the staff is consistently warm and welcoming. The interior is lovely and relaxing. Shiva RN is an absolute artist! . Her expertise and experience shine in her work. I got Botox - she never makes my brows look"spock-like". She even asked me to return 2 weeks later to see how they looked, she was not happy that they were not 'perfect', she did a touch up and now they are!!! It looks so natural and besides this post no one even knows I had a treatment!

This review is for Shiva, who has given me botox for the past year. I initially went to see her for some "crows feet" wrinkles by my eyes. She cleared them up beautifully, while still keeping a natural work. Then, Shiva told me about the effects botox would have on my masseter muscle, or my jaw muscle. Shiva brought this up in a caring way, bringing attention to the effects of me clenching my jaw/grinding my teeth for the past year. I was so excited, as this has been a huge problem in my life. I have been looking for someone who does derma planing for a while… It seems no one in our area offers this service. Until one day while on Yelp, I started researching and I saw this spot near my home. I immediately received a response from the owner Shay, she made me feel welcome and answered every single question and yes they do dermaplaning!!! I couldn’t wait for my consultation.

I had never had any work done on my face but wanted to try some fillers out so I came here and met with Dr. Shay. I was super nervous that 1. It would hurt terribly and 2. It would look really unnatural, but I definitely didn't have anything to worry about. Shay was very gentle and talked me through everything, and when she was done filling in my cheeks, lips, smile lines, chin, under eyes and lips, I still looked natural and like myself! I went into nubo spa to get some filler by Shiva i was immediately greeted by Dr.Shay she was super kind. Staff makes you feel extremely comfortable. Great prices and services.
