I love all things with wheels. Bikes, motorcycles, and cars are my passion. I've dedicated my life to getting more people on bikes and enjoying the freedom of rolling outdoors. More people on bikes the better! My first experience with cycling was when I was 12 or 13 riding BMX bikes. I have worked in the industry in Boston, London, DC, and now Philly.
Cannondale is not only passionate about building the best, most innovative and high-performance products, but passionate about doing everything they can to create the best possible cycling experience. When we say State Bicycle Co. is rider-developed, we mean it. In 2009, State was launched by three Arizona cycling addicts with big dreams.

I had the brakes and chain on my main bike replaced recently, spending half the value of the bike. The work took almost a month to complete and the quality of work was abismal. "Brakes are back ordered" they said, so I bought them on Amazon. "They delivered the wrong chain ring" they said, and more time went by. Then they only allowed me to pay with Venmo, and I see now they did not want me to challenge the transaction. The grips were slipping off the handlebars, the odometer was not reinstalled (oh, they said when I went back, "is this it?"), the seat post was not installed right (why was it taken

Bicycle Therapy has seen me through almost 20 years of cycling. From keeping my work bikes running when I was a messenger, to helping me get into mountain biking, to assisting with last-minute prep for the GDMBR, to keeping me rolling as a commuter, the shop has been a valuable resource and source of support through these different lives. I have seen a lot of staff come and go, but my experience has stayed constant: everyone has always been kind, informative, curious, and invested in me getting exactly what I needed - while hearing me out about my preferences and anxieties. Work has always been

Best bicycle shop in the area. The service is impeccable. It's a small shop but the owner is hands on. They help me build a cannondale tri bike in record time for a race. The email communication was always on time and clear and the charges were explained in detail. Even though this location is not the most practical I'm willing to drive there just because they care and they know what they are doing! If you live nearby it feels like the best neighborhood shop! Sam was awesome to deal with and so are the mechanics.

I am very impressed of the service, I recently got this really epic Cannondale that I enjoy dearly, it's so much fun and it's racing approved. I never thought of the day I would get a Cannondale road bike, so it's a big plus up, and it changes everything. This is one of the few great neighborhood bike shops where I would go to for a quick fix, tune-up, or safety inspection since everything is fully open.

I scanned the reviews both good and bad. I don't have the knowledge to evaluate their repairs in detail but I have never had any problems with them. Their prices are reasonable I never noticed any gouging or upselling. My only criticism is that ever since I started using them I have felt a coldness on the part of the staff, as if they were too hip for me or too knowledgeable or I was too clumsy. This could be an age difference thing but it's an impression I can't shake and it's been consistent no matter the person that helps me. My most recent visit was no exception. They are

These guys are the best! Bike shops can be intimidating, but not Bicycle Therapy. They are great. They get right to the point, ask the right questions, provide good service, explain what they did and charge a fair price. Their notification system and follow up should be a lesson for other service providers regardless of the pandemic. Shout out to Lee for running a great shop. Shout out to Bree for being awesome. I have zero reservations about recommending Bicycle Therapy to my friends and family.

They should TEACH everyone how to operate during COVID. Wow. Truly impressive. Touch free service. Everything was sanitized, and legitimate social distancing. There was a spread out "line" but you would call the store in line to state your business, and they took care of everyone; kind of like taking a number at a deli. It was honestly impressive how they did it. So, I was insanely skeptical about purchasing a bike in this capacity, but I would urge anyone reading this to give this brand a chance before anyone else. Flipping amazing. I am blown away by you.

Friendly staff who were very helpful to a novice. It was especially decent of them to not charge me for things that I thought needed but which they knew I didn't. - This will definitely be our permanent place for everything bike.

Bicycle Therapy is the best bike shop I've been to the area for sure. The staff is super friendly and truly seems interested in my needs. I've stopped by a couple times without notice and was able to get my chain put back on or my seat tightened. Pre-COVID I would occasionally stop by to get some free air as well. I bought a bike from there and talked with the person for over a half hour figuring out which type of bike would be best for me.

There are two downsides with this place however. The first is that they can get pretty busy so if you need something that's more than just

I'm out on a bike ride tonight and my chain snaps unexpectedly, one of the links failed and what once was a proud circle is now a sad floppy line. I was a couple blocks from bicycle therapy and although they had closed about an hour ago I figured there may be a technician on site that could help me out.

I walked to the store to see two workers fixing bikes and waved hello before calling the number listed on the door. The woman picked up and when I explained what happened she said they were closed and there's nothing she could do. Then she hung up.

You don't have ten minutes to

I recently needed a bicycle to get around and Bicycle Therapy was recommended. Despite limited availability of bikes due to the pandemic the shop was great and talked to me about what I was looking for, what they had available, and what fit my budget. They got the bike built up and ready to go in less than a week despite being busier than usual since everyone is looking to get outside in some capacity. There was an issue with the front brake within the first day of me bringing it home but they told me to come in and they would sort it out; they did and at no charge. Overall the customer service

Great local shop. Ordered a new bike recently, and they had it set up ready to ride within a day or so of getting the order shipment in. Chatted with a few mechs there and got some helpful advice about bike setup and components - they know their stuff. Also quality of service is top notch. If you dig the new Cannondale lineup as much as I do, you can’t go wrong with this place, buy your bike here. If you just need fix or tune-up they’re great for that as well.

Dropped my bike off for a scheduled repair with these guys. Took a little while to get one but they're busy as hell since Covid hit so be patient. Super professional process communicated well all throughout and the bike is in the best shape ever! They even matched my red trim color with the finish tape on new bar wraps. Wonderful place. Highly recommend!

I bought a bike from bicycle therapy during Covid 19. This was seriously one of the most amazing shopping experiences I’ve ever had. After going to two bike shops in South Philly and short being laughed away(apparently there is a huge bicycle shortage during the pandemic) Jess from Bicycle Therapy was there for me. I told her what I would be using the bike for and she had the perfect one for me. To be honest I have been super nervous about riding a bike in Philly and she gave me great advice on how to be safe in the city. Totally calmed my nerves! Thank you Jess, you are a gem! I LOVE my new

I am not a huge cyclist but my daughter and I ride recreationally, and are beginning to ride more as she seems to really have gotten into it. This is a great shop. Over the years, I have bought several bikes here, and they sell great bikes. They did a simple service on one bike during the pandemic, and they could not have been more professional and helpful - in addition to the issue, they even gave the bike a quick check and tightened some things up that I didn't realize were loose. Appreciate them very much and am glad they are in the neighborhood!

I just walked from broad and Tasker to get air because since I don't have a job I needed free air and they told me that I had to buy a pump to put air in my tire it's not right that they said that during this time of need.. that's what you call brotherly love????

These guys do a great job of fixing bikes, but BEWARE. They have a habit of doing unnecessary work. They trued my wheel, and when they returned it to me told me it needed to be replaced (worn rim). They tightened my bike headset, then told me it needed to be replaced. They replaced it, and did a nice job, but charged me for both jobs. Everything I have them do ends up being more expensive than they say. But they do a nice job in the end.

If you've always wanted a bike shop with the customer care and sense of community of a stolen bike on craigslist, Bicycle Therapy is for you. After buying a brand new bike here, everytime I've walked through the door I've felt like all they see you as is walking $$ signs. They don't care if they sold you a defective bike that every local bike shop says they should have fixed for free (broken gears, of course they blamed me) and let's not forget the time they installed a bike basket that the screws fell off literately the day after, and they charged me $15 for redoing that

Brought my bike in for a simple tube fix. Put it on my bike rack, drove home and then later that night it popped after no riding and merely hanging on my wall. Brought the bike back, explained what happened and the tech fixed my bike on the spot, no charge and didn't ask for any prior receipt for services. Really nice guy.

Let it be known, this guy is not the norm. Its more of a no nonsense, strictly business place that could maybe work on being a bit more friendly towards its customers, especially for an $18 tube exchange. Needless to say I'm just going to DIY/YouTube it next time.

When I purchased a wheel for $180, I expected it to last me awhile.

Unfortunately, it suffered a premature death when the hub flange sheared off. Without any hesitation or haggling, Bicycle Therapy offered to handle a warranty return after a year; they even spent the time to look up an old sales record from a legacy POS system.

I called later about the return, and at the mere suggestion that it was taking awhile, they offered me a free replacement the same day, presumably at their own expense.

There's no question that customer loyalty is a top priority here.

Also, they have the cutest

Brought my bike here today for a tune up and was told I needed a new chain and cassette costing nearly $200. Brought it to Doctor Cycles for a second opinion and all it needed was a tune up. Now my bike is driving good as new! I've gotten flats fixed here before which were fairly priced. If you need more than the basics I'd recommend going elsewhere.

The people who work here are really nice and it makes me look forward to coming to Bicycle Therapy. I'm a middle aged commuter bicyclist. At other shops I've often felt uncomfortable because I'm not young, bearded, pierced, tatooed and a cool pro biker (well, actually I am bearded but its short gray and academic, not long and hipster). Not so here. Even though everyone working here is young and clearly into bikes, they are really nice and polite and explain things to me without condescension, and don't make me at all uncomfortable for not knowing a SRAM from a Shimano from

Had a major bike repair that required the parts and expertise that they had. They fixed my bike sooner than they expected.

At first, when I rode it after the repair, my gears were slipping. It appeared to be due to a mistake on their part. Due to the busyness of life, I didn't bring the bike back to the shop for this issue until exactly one month later. I was hoping they'd give me the benefit of the doubt anyway and fix it for free. Well, they didn't quite do that. They explained that the problem was due to a bent derailer hanger (which they had installed), that they install their

- TIP: It's a nice looking shop with high-end new bikes & equipment, but don't that deter you from bringing a beater city bike in -- they're happy to work on anything.

- CON: Their accessories are a bit on the pricier side -- but it's driven by carrying high-quality items (the prices are still fair).

- BOTTOM LINE: I live right by 9th & South, where there is another well-known bike shop close by. I'd rather walk my bike 13 blocks to get to Bicycle Therapy because each time I've been there, I've been rewarded with unpretentious, fast, and super-friendly

Just in case all the awesome reviews here on yelp are not enough to sway you, here is another one. The guys and gals of Bicycle Therapy are the best. They are professional, helpful, dedicated, and just plain cool people.

I had something in my tire a few months ago that was preventing it from holding air. I took my bike to them twice and they cleaned out the wheels for me but the issue persisted. On my third trip (free of charge), they found a small piece of glass that was the source of the issue. They gave me a $10 Gift card for my "troubles" (as if it were actually burdensome stopping
