It was my lucky day when I was referred to Dr Snitly and then referred to Dr. Matson Ko for total knee replacement surgery.
The offices ran very well. I always checked in early and always got in early to my appointment.
The day of the actual surgery was a major snowstorm. The whole surgical staff was dedicated enough to make it in to complete their scheduled surgeries.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Matson Ko, my recovery has been absolutely amazing and I know a large percentage of that have to do with her surgical skill.

I really got lucky when a good friend recommended going to see Dr Snitly for my troublesome knee. He requested all the appropriate images in a very timely manner.
He then referred me to Dr. MatDen Ko.
I really got lucky there. My total knee replacement surgery went very smoothly. The most impressive part was the whole team was able to show up in one of Seattle’s worst snow events.
Four days after surgery I was off of pain meds, six days after I was using only a cane, eight days after I didn’t need any assistance walking at all.

Dr. Wahl and his team repaired both my knees two years ago and truly changed my life. Over a period of ten years starting in my mid-twenties, I went from being able to run and hike long distances to experiencing knee pain from just walking a few blocks. I saw many healthcare professionals during that time and tried everything (physiotherapy, cortisone, massage, needling, orthotics anti-inflammatory medication, and even saw a neurologist) but nothing worked. Dr. Wahl told me he could fix my knees with surgery after I'd been told repeatedly that wasn't an option for my issues. I can now hike 15 miles

This review has been a long time coming. OPA Ortho - specifically Dr. Jason Wilcox & his team - helped me through a 2-surgery repair on my knee. They prepared me physically and mentally to prep & recover from each one. And since I've taken so long to write this review, I can now say that years down the road, my knee does whatever I ask of it. Dr. Brian Mayeda was recommended to me by a friend who had had a successful hip replacement surgery by him. I found Dr. Mayeda to be extremely knowledgeable, an excellent communicator and passionate about doing the very best for his patients. My hip replacement went well, his approach is to not cut through muscle and so my recovery was faster than other people I know who have had hip replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Mayeda.

Eva Young who works at the Orthopedic Physicians Associates (OPA) caused me a great deal of suffering. She did not examine me properly and rushed into a conclusion. The psychological shock I went through because of her is unmeasurable. She's completely incompetent and should have her license taken away before she can traumatize another person.

Dr. Matsen Ko was referred to me by a very dear friend who also had his hip replaced. When I first met Dr Laura I appreciated her honesty, bluntness and took the time and had the patience to answer all my questions - ridiculous and sincere ones! I needed to have a full replacement due to arthritis. I felt VERY comfortable the day of surgery and confident that I was in good hands. I'm an active 46 year old and this was my first surgery - ever. Her entire team made me feel comfortable and at ease. I came here due to a knee injury. I was set up with Scott Hormel and his nurse Julie. They were both incredibly welcoming and professional. I had no apprehension about the required surgery due to my previous interactions with these two. Excellent team with outstanding results. Healed quick and although I enjoyed my interactions I hope I don't need to come visit any time soon! Good as new!

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! I had to wait to have my hip replaced due to COVID. By the time we could finally have elective surgeries again, I was bone on bone. My experience at Swedish Orthopedic Physicians was great. Dr. Matsen Ko & her whole team are amazing, super responsive, professional and knowledgeable. Calls, when not answered immediately (almost every time) were returned promptly, same day. I was up and walking the same day. They changed my life. Thank you all!

My appt time was 11:00 to which I arrived 5 minutes early. I wasn’t roomed until 11:30. I sat in the exam room until 12:15 when my husband decided to go find out why it was taking so long. They said the doctor was with another patient and I would be next. Within 1-2 minutes the MA came into the room and said the doctor had just been called into surgery and it would probably be another hour and I could other go have lunch and come back or reschedule. I decided to come back after lunch. I was seen when I came back about 90 min later. The doctor apologized for being called away and spent maybe 5

I have been visiting Dr. Khalfayan and Dr. Kate at OPA since March this year for a knee injury I had while skiing earlier this year. Their medical assistant Blake is wonderful to work and co-ordinate with. This team of professionals are very kind, knowledgeable and honest about their diagnosis. I got my MRI, X ray and ultra sound done at this location which help nail down the cause of my injury. I always felt I was very well taken care of and was always in safe hands during every visit. It was this same team of professionals who conducted my surgery a few months later at the Seattle Surgery Center

I had a total knee replacement 3 months ago performed by Dr. Matsen Ko.. The results have been terrific and the whole experience went well from working with the office staff through the surgery through aftercare. Having a good physical therapist is another key component of good recovery so I was grateful for the recommendation I was given. Dr. Matsen was terrific; I highly recommend her.

The providers there that I have seen are solid. However, be careful when you are given braces or similar pieces of equipment. The providers sometimes don't know the cost, they quote something reasonable, and then when you get the bill later (because your insurance won't cover these), the amount is often higher. And, unfortunately they will not allow you to return these (the billing people are disconnected from the actual medical offices, so they are very nice but not at all trained to deal with this issue). Buyer beware.

I recently had Hip Replacement Surgery and my experience was excellent! My Doctor was Dr. Laura Matsen Ko, she was friendly, efficient and I felt completely comfortable in her hands. The staff, especially Rihanna, were all kind and so helpful. Rihanna took many phone calls from me with questions and always got back to me quickly with solutions. The actual surgery was fast and efficient, and I loved that my Anesthesiologist gave me two options and totally assured me that I was his complete priority during the surgery. I went home the same day! Overall, my experience was exceptional in all ways!

After postponing my total knee replacement for about 3 years, i finally had it done 6 weeks ago. I'ms so glad I finally did! it!!! Everything from start to finish went perfectly, thanks to OPA Ortho. Dr. Sean Toomey, JC MacDonald PA-C and Rachel MA were fantastic!!! They worked as a well organized team with professionalism and all were friendly.I am very pleased with Dr. Toomey's expertise.When it is time for the other knee I'll see them again.

My deep-felt thanks to Dr Crutcher, my anesthesiologist, the surgical staff, and the entire hospital staff for my right knee total replacement surgery on July 20, 2020 and discharge on the same day.
Without exception, EVERYONE kept me informed of where I was in the process and what to expect in the next procedure.
Within a week, I was walking without assistance.

After interviewing friends and collegues, and hours online and on the phone she concluded that Dr. Toomey is the best knee surgeon on the West coast. She may or may not be right, but I trusted her opinion and her experience with Dr. Toomey and had my preliminary visit.
He and his staff and associates are courteous and professional and explained the proceedure and my options thoroughly.

I have suffered for years with degenerative joint disease and was rapidly turning into a log. I was referred to OPA and I selected Dr Sean Toomey as my surgeon. After our first meeting, my right hip’s condition was deemed so severe that I was fast-tracked into joint replacement surgery a week later.
Thanks to M.A. Rachel Brown’s admin adroitness and Dr Toomey’s skill and experience along with P.A. J.C. MacDonald’s talents, I left post-op walking unassisted and erect for the first time in 10-15 years. Family and friends aren’t wincing when they see me anymore. And, the scar is beautiful

I called after receiving a referral and then hurting me knee again later.
The woman in the phone told me the doctor I was referred to would have to approve seeing me. (Why?) I waited one week and did not receive a return call. I called again but hung up after being on hold for half an hour.
I called again and asked to speak to the scheduling manager. She did not answer, so I left her a message. She did not return my call.

Went in to see Dr. Garr, was passed off to his PA instead even though I specifically said I didn't want to see a PA because I've had this issue for a while, and part of the reason it progressed to where it is now is because of people not being thorough with understanding my problem.
Yesterday was the same, I left with a non-answer and a prescription. I don't care about pain management, I hardly ever user ibuprofen. I want to know my surgical options to fix my herniated disc.
I called and complained and was told if they couldn't switch me to a different doctor they would recommend

If you need someone to fix you (within reason) look no further than Dr. Wahl! I owe you, and all of your staff so much! You all gave me my future back with my knee surgery. I have been having knee issues for the past few months and Dr. Carrie Wilcox has been super helpful with finding solutions to my issues. My first meeting, we took a look via an ultrasound and saw I had some cysts coming out of my knee. After my MRI, we talked about different options to aid in the issues. DR KIRBY IS A BEAST! I highly recommend this place. Everybody is so kind and willing to assist. From the moment you walk-in it just makes sense. The front staff and assistants were so professional and respectful. So now about DR KIRBY, he made me (and my family) feel so welcomed. He makes the process that much easier. A must for people with shoulder injuries. No issues and now I feel stronger than ever! No issues with billing. Only complaint: You have to pay for parking. But it's worth it. Dr. Kirby is highly recommended by numerous health professionals. Go here!

I went to see Dr. Hormel. He quick through his exam, which made me nervous. This tells me the surgeon want to start cutting. I was into an X-ray quick and got the results within minutes... mixed reviews. They quickly got me scheduled for an MRI and then quick to diagnose. I was told that surgery could repair it, but wasn't recommended. Let's do a cortisone shot and rehab. The shot was quick and relatively painless

I have to say that this is the worst phone service I have ever received. I've been on the phone for over 10 minutes to schedule an appointment and all I've been given is a phone shuffled back-and-forth between two different departments and no human is actually spoken to me other than to answer and transfer me to each other.
I'm sure my surgery is lucrative but obviously they don't care enough to answer the phone. I don't have any of these problems at the University of Washington Medical Center getting hold of a human being.
