I have United Healthcare, a pretty large and well-known insurance. The physician or physicians that cared for me overnight were out-of network. I was never informed of this, they don't bother to tell you. UH has been trying to work with them to alter the bill by waiving the out-of-network cost, but so far the only information I have received from the physicians is a warning that my bill will be sent to collections. I felt I had to pay it, but now, if insurance negotiations come through, how easily will I be able to recover that extra money? It's pretty hard to remember to ask about network compatibility

Terrible company! Highline Hospital used an out of network company Highline Emergency Physicians, my insurance refused to pay the bill because they are supposed to check and this company wouldn't take the blame. I'm stuck with a huge bill and now sent to collections. I would never recommend going to Highline or using the contractor physician. Terrible experience all around.

I was sent to collections for a bill that I paid on time in full, but they lost track of. Five months later and many email/calls/proof of payment (twice) I am still in Collections. Highline finally admitted it was properly paid, but only after I contacted them. They have yet to call off collections or offer an apology for five months of administrative incompetence.

Don't go here! I had an emergency with my 16 month old son - he needed 4 small stitches on his brow. Cigna, the insurance company we pay 400$ a month for - their website said to go to this facility. Said in network. I gave cards at front desk. Assured by them we're in network at that facility. Without notifying me that they were "out of network" Highline Emergency Physicians assumed care and stitched my boy up. My bill was very high and they declined to accept Cigna's discounted (read fair market value) rate and surprise balance billed us. Also did a poor job.
