Services
We understand that this is a difficult time for your family. A funeral burial service has in the past traditionally involved visitation followed by a service. Most of the time a casket is normally present at both these events, but it is your decision whether to have the casket open. After the service you have the option of interment, their resting place and a place family can visit later to remember their life.
The choice of cremation is an increasing option for many people serving as an alternative to traditional burial. Some religions request it, while it is others choice born out of necessity as a more economical alternative to the more costly burial. Your choice for cremation does not limit your memorialization.
Memorializing your loved one who has passed can be an important part of the grieving process. Many people find comfort in having a tangible memento by which to remember a loved one who has passed. Others take solace in selecting photos and other memories to share during the memorial service. Omega offers a variety of caskets, urns, keepsakes and memorial jewelry.
The decision to plan your own funeral is not an easy one to make-but it can be one of the most caring and responsible things you do for your loved ones. In the first 24 hours after a death, there are well over 50 details that need to be addressed. Would you want your loved ones to have to deal with all that while they're reeling from the pain of loss?
