R. Rex Parris High School, in an environment of respect, responsibility, and integrity, will provide a quality 21st Century education preparing students with necessary skills for a productive adult life. R. Rex Parris High School is an alternative education setting for students who have fallen behind in credits at their previous schools.

By combining an accelerated variable credit system, individual instruction, technology, a Common Core State Standards-based curriculum, and a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program, the faculty and staff are dedicated to promoting student success, not only in academics, but also in their personal and social lives.
Services
A similar requirement is also contained in the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school. A SARC can be an effective way for a school to report on its progress in achieving goals.
We want our community to be aware of our continued commitment to safety which includes multiple, proactive approaches to fortifying security throughout our school. In addition to safety enhancements across the District (see below), at R. Rex Parris High School we utilize an electronic entry system and a metal detector at the main entrance.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all our students and employees. We are focused on teaching strategies for violence prevention and have high expectations for student conduct, responsible behavior and respect for others. Each school safety plan is reviewed by the Board of Trustees and District leadership.

Additionally, your student has been enrolled in a "Homeroom" Google classroom where we will post "Monthly Bulletins" that address frequently asked questions (FAQs), provide resources, and give updates on policies and relevant changes to academic, college & career, and social & emotional subjects.
R. Rex Parris High School believes that students learn best when they are in class for bell-to-bell instruction. Your child's timely arrival to school is valuable in ensuring that he or she receives the fullest education possible. Students who are habitually tardy or truant will be dealt with in a firm manner, as unverified absences and tardiness will not be tolerated.
