It is my honor to serve as the Principal of Quartz Hill High School. In 1964, the first Quartz Hill High students walked onto a temporary campus, located in the old Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

From the moment the Quartz Hill community rebelled to ensure our school was located in our community to our present day, this school has represented achievement and excellence and it is clear that our graduates demonstrate the ideals and traits that were laid out at Quartz Hill High School's foundation. The long list of distinguished alumni from QHHS that have gone on to achieve extraordinary things testifies to this fact.
The mission of Quartz Hill High School is to provide a place to grow as unstoppable learners, deeply respecting one another and our communities, while wholeheartedly developing the communication and leadership skills to become truly Royal within the world today. Through a rigorous and relevant curriculum, Quartz Hill High School will prepare students to be.
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which is conducive to learning. There will be different expectations for each class and from each teacher. Teachers will give each student entering their class a written list of expectations in the area of classroom behavior. Violations of these expectations will result in consequences through the SOS (Success Oriented Schools) system.
A similar requirement is also contained in the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school. A SARC can be an effective way for a school to report on its progress in achieving goals.

I believe that the Confederate Soldier on the mascot is actually an Union Soldier as evident to its Blue uniform.

If you want to play basketball don’t go to this school because they play favorites and had they’re teams already set up before tryouts. That’s unfair to the students and new kids that are new to the school.

My husband graduated from this school in the mid-80's and loved the Gifted Program. We are thinking about relocating to the area. Our son would be able to eventually attend the same school and Gifted Program. Could anyone comment on the current program, good or bad?
