Staunton Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Staunton, Virginia area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Weston Mims, who is a licensed, experienced Staunton veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. Mims is originally from Staunton and is proud to be putting down roots for his practice in his hometown. He graduated from Fort Defiance High School and received his Bachelors of Science from Virginia Tech. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg in 2010.

Scheduling regular exams is the best way to ensure a healthy life for your pet and is crucial for identifying and treating potential health problems. Preventative care also increases the likelihood of successful treatment for your pet. Testing for heartworms and common tick-borne diseases, such as Lyme, Erlichia, and Anaplasma.

Ever since we adopted our Pitbull Tobias we have struggled with skin and allergy issues (1.5 years) after starting to go Staunton Vet Clinic, Tobias skin has found that happy-medium and the vet bills are so much more reasonable! We know Tobias is getting the care he needs and that the staff are caring and professional!! Highly recommend this veterinarian office!

We have been seeing Staunton Vet Clinic since 2017. They have continually taken wonderful care of our puppy. Recently, she had an injury and they were able to work her in within 30 minutes and she is now home with the appropriate medications and treatment plan. We are so grateful for their attentive and responsive care! Would definitely recommend.

I've had nothing but great experiences at this vet. I recently moved to the area, and had to take my dog to the emergency vet. Dr Norman was exceptional. She was thorough and explained everything. Unfortunately I had to put that dog down a few weeks later, and they were so kind throughout the whole.process. they took care of everything afterwards, which I truly appreciate. I have since brought my other dog in a couple times and they have always gotten me in same day. Everyone at this office is so caring.

Best vet I have been to! I will continue to bring my two dogs here for a long time! The staff is very helpful and make things simple for me! Our veterinarian has been very considerate and explains things in detail. Overall wonderful experience with these wonderful people who really care about animals!
