Services
I grew up in Louisiana on a beef cattle and rice farm. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) prior to completing my doctorate of veterinary medicine degree at Louisiana State University in 1989. I practiced large and small animal medicine in both Louisiana and Virginia for approximately five years before concentrating exclusively on small animal medicine.
At the Animal Clinic of Verona, we are pleased to offer boarding for your furry family members. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Dogs are also given exercise time outside at least twice daily. Our boarding areas are climate-controlled, keeping your pets warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months.
An often overlooked aspect of animal care by pet owners is dental health. The staff at Animal Clinic of Verona knows that dental issues can lead to more serious illnesses if not treated promptly and adequately by a professional. Tartar buildup and gum disease can promote the growth of harmful bacteria.
As a full-service medical clinic, we provide our own in-house pharmacy. This allows you the convenience of picking up your prescriptions at the time of your visit. The manufacturers of the brands that we carry stand behind the safety and efficacy of their products. We carry heartworm preventatives, antibiotics, anti-allergy and flea/tick prevention medicines, as well as hypoallergenic foods.
At the Animal Clinic of Verona, your pet's health is very important to us, and we understand that health needs change as your pet ages. Therefore, we have established different protocols for each stage of your pet's life. When pets first come in to our lives, they have unique health and wellness needs.

The vet tech was excellent! I have a border collie mix that is an excellent farm dog, but is very anxious, which is a normal trait for the breed. Vet visits are difficult. When I made the appointment for a rabies vaccine I told the receptionist about the issue and was reassured that they could handle the dog. The vet tech came outside to administer the vaccine and talked through each step. Wonderful!

We recently made a big move from California to Virginia. With this move we brought our three dogs!
These dogs received great care in California. Needless to say, Verona clinic has matched and exceeded the great care. The entire staff always make us feel welcomed and provide the best care for our "babies"! Thank you for taking the stress off of us when we have to board them.
