We were encouraged to see the The Seattle Times editorial board putting its support behind the city's recent investment in expanding Health One - and we wanted to add our support. For too long, we have relied on law enforcement - armed officers who are trained to enforce the law, not to help those experiencing mental health crises - to the growing needs of this community.
These interactions often turn violent and even deadly. A world where people living with serious mental illness thrive in communities of hope and opportunity.

HERO House NW is the administrative and advocating body for three clubhouses in Washington State. We formed because of the clear need to develop more clubhouses in the state. Using economies of scale, we have been able to set the stage for our vision of a Washington State where clubhouse communities not only survive but thrive.
Scott brings three-decades of indispensable industry experience to HERO House, having had successful tenures with Sky Bank, Bay Mortgage, Cowlitz Bank, and First Independent Bank. He co-founded Legacy Group Holdings, Inc., which was voted the second best company to work for by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Your generous donation can help members find jobs and live on their own, reducing their need for social services. A donation of just $10/month can help with transportation costs for our half of our clubhouse membership who attend school, volunteer, or work locally. No amount is too small-even a donation of $25 can help with costs such as resume writing, interview support, and on-the-job training for those with mental illness.
To help us realize our vision, HERO House NW relies on grants, public funding, and gifts from generous donors like you. We are dedicated to spending your gifts responsibly, and to be good stewards of our donations. We spend 84% of our funds on our daily programs-areas such as Employment, Education, and Social-that directly benefit our members and help them move forward with their lives.
Our clubhouses offer three tiers of employment supports. Transitional, Supported, and Independent Employment offerings meet our members where they are at to ensure successful return to work! Our clubhouses offer education supports which are peer led by matching members in the Supported Education Program with other members who have subject matter expertise.
