Our Home Inspector will review the detailed report with you to make sure you understand everything and answer any remaining questions. A home inspection is a visual process where all of the items typically used within a home are tested and/or operated to verify proper operation or installation. Doors and windows are opened and closed, roofing materials inspected, air-conditioning and heating systems operated.
I had the privilege of walking through the home inspection with Scott and it was such an incredible learning experience as well as great company to do business with! This was our very first home inspection and to be honest, I was super nervous to be around some random stranger for up to 2 hours looking at a home that was not mine.

Scott Cleven was referred by my Realtor. Both my Realtor and Scott were working against me not hearing my concerns that I had about environmental issue of possible dog feces, urine stains (carpet smelled) and carpet not stretched which was a trip hazard. Scott said inspections does not address carpets but other inspectors I talked to said inspections does include carpet issues; especially trip hazards in which he refused to note. He said those could be coffee stains. He knew it was not coffee stains so I fired him on the spot as I could not trust his judgment. He presented passive aggressive, rude

Can I just say, that I had two prior home inspections. The buyer of my home who clearly offered way over asking in hopes to drive my home price down, especially when he brought in his inspector. The owner of this company. I had previously had a pre home inspection done by a very reputable company. The repairs were modest and I was willing to get them done. Scott came in and delivered around 40 pages of utter nonsense. To my surprise, I reached out to my inspector that inspected prior to me listing my home, asked why there was so much confusion on the reports? Let’s just say Scott, every used

Scott did a fantastic job inspecting my duplex before I bought it. I’ve had other inspectors in the past do a fast and sloppy job, 15 or 30 minutes and they’re on to the next job. It's a problem, since inspectors get paid by how many jobs they can squeeze in. With Scott, I felt like he was inspecting as if it was his own life savings on the line. He spent hours on the property, and found problems that I know would have been missed by other inspectors. Stuff like toilets that needed to be secured to the floor. Scott is an extremely nice and honest person. I have actually used him twice, after having neutral experiences with other home inspectors. Scott isn't flashy, he isn't stuck-up, and he treats every home inspection as if it would be for a home he would be living in. He was friendly to all questions, and he had no qualms getting dirty and taking dozens of pictures. I really can't say anything negative about him; His inspection reports are incredibly thorough and informative. Scott was very polite and professional. He allowed me to follow him around the inspection and ask any questions that I might have had. As a first time home buyer I wasn't sure what to look for or what to ask. Scott made it very easy to ask questions and point out possible concerns while going through the inspection. He was very thorough and would often stop the inspection to explain to me what might be a concern and what was in good condition.
