Today was my third visit to NC Nail. I’ve had services performed by Sonny, Kevin, Mandy, and Vivian — all are EXCELLENT!! The professionalism, skill and excellence orientation of the staff are unparalleled in other salons I’ve patronized in the 25 years I’ve lived in North Carolina. Went to this place today Sunday June 6th and was serviced by 3 gentlemen who gave me the WORST experience I have ever had. First off they promised they could do something that in the end they could not. I don’t know what or why but I felt so much pain during the services from the filing it almost brought me to tears. My nails remained sore throughout the rest of the service. It does not even look like I got a damn pedicure.

Was in town on business and needed a manicure- horrible choice. The man Sonny who performed my service was extremely slow (had to finally ask the woman that was there to step in and assist) and the gel polish was sloppy and went over the nail and was all over my skin which then I had to spend the evening trying to file back. My gel manicure usually lasts 3 weeks/until I can make it in to have them done. I am at less than a week and all the polish is lifting from the cuticle. If I lived in town I would go back and demand a refund.

I found this spot randomly after 2 of my nails split half way across the middle of the nail. It literally happened the day after I just got them done too. My normal salon was closed on Tuesday's and I knew there was no way I was going to be able to keep the nail from breaking completely if I had to wait a whole other day. I walked in around 6:15pm and was greeted by the owner. I told her that I had just gotten my nails done but two of them were splitting. I asked if she could possibly only fix the 2 nails that were broken. She was so friendly and didn't waste a moment letting me know

This was my first time here and it started off rocky but got better. The lady who did my nails wasn’t very friendly at first but then she warmed up to me. She did a good job on my nails and she took her time and made sure I liked it before she continued. The overall experience was good. The negatives if I had any was the way she took off the SNS nails. She pulled them off instead of soaking them off. I didn’t like that very much but after that it went better.

I got a lavender gel manicure and within hours the polish warped and turned a greenish grey except for the ends of the nails. I called and asked if I could come in the next Saturday (the first day I was available!) to get them fixed. When I got there, I still had to wait 20 minutes (even with an apt) and then they wanted to charge me for a whole new set. They said the polish discoloration was my fault and refused to fix.
Will never be returning.

Cheap ($35 for SNS) but little color choice (maybe 10 colors total), looks rundown inside. Service itself was so so, not friendly, cut nails too short and not evenly. I asked for square with slightly rounded edges but got totally round nails. Awkward handling, like twisting my hands around to file and then dip and not particularly gently. Not my normal salon and I am unlikely to return.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Please see the picture of my nails attached to this review to see why. Never in my life have I had a gel manicure that looked this bad. The filing was the first disaster. He was filing with no order at all, scuffing my nails and fraying them. Then, he started hastily and sloppily painting my nails, getting it all over fingers, missing spots, painting all over my cuticles, and sometimes painting HORIZONTALLY to get missed areas. Went in towards the end of the day for a pedicure. Despite my coming in late, they did not rush me whatsoever. I went with the rose pedicure because it includes a paraffin wax treatment. This pedicure is $45. I thought it was very nice and the rate is comparable to, if not less than, other deluxe pedicures in the area. The woman spent a very long amount of time massaging my feet and legs. She did a wonderful job on the polish as well. The staff was professional & polite, and I could see everything was very clean. I will be back again for sure!

This was the worst service ever. I was charged $29 for a 20 minute pedicure. The woman beside me received a 45 minute pedicure. Virtually no exfoliation and walking out with still cracked heels. When I quietly expressed my concern to the manager she accused me of trying to just get a service for free and told me if I wanted a free service I could go somewhere else. She refused to give me contact information for owner. She then initiated conversation with two other customers about me while I was sitting in the salon and told them I was just trying to get a free service. Worst pedicure and service

I've been going to Nc nails for over a year. I go every two weeks and see Spike for a gel fill and gel polish. Never have trouble getting an appt, never have to wait. It always takes no more than 40 minutes. He does an excellent job and always shapes my nails perfectly. He always manages to get me in even when busy. I don't care about wine and conversation. I just want to get in and out and have a high quality result. No tv blaring either. Just music in the background.

I got a mani and pedi here- it was my first visit to this place which is conveniently located right in Meadowmont. They did an okay job despite trimming my finger nails way too short and nipping my cuticle. (see picture.) I actually said "ouch!" when the lady cut it and then it started to bleed. She then applied some glue-stuff and a cotton ball to try to stop the bleeding. Not a big deal because this stuff happens but then she trimmed my nails (especially thumbs) way too short. Just annoying to not have any overhang. I will not go back here since she just didn't seem to be very

This was hands down the worst manicure I have ever received. I came here because all of the reviews were so great, and maybe my technician was just having an off day, but it was TERRIBLE. They seemed to be taking their time with the clients they were already working on so it didn't bother me to wait for 30 minutes or so. I figured they would use that amount of time on me as well.
Nope, I was wrong. The technician sat down, looked at my hands, and told me my cuticles were too thin to cut back. WHAT?! I have been getting manicures for 10 years and have never had an issue with my cuticles.

I'm very picky about the way my gel tips are applied and maintained, and I am very happy with the way Spike does my nails. It's easy to get an appointment, there's always plenty of parking, and the place is pretty clean.
I give four stars instead of five because I don't really understand their pricing--gel tips are only a bit more expensive than gel polish (no tips), and it seems that the gel polish should be much less expensive because it's much less time and work (or so it seems).

I have personally never written a bad review for anyone. However, I was really pissed off when their partner started making up charges for waxing which were no where mentioned in their menu. Upon questioning, I was argued by using the fact that she is a partner and can price whatever/whenever.
I am not sure about nails but I will never use them for waxing. There are far better waxing centers around the area and please take your business to some other place. I hope that your experience is good if you decide to stick with these guys.
