Dr. Butler is a highly trained and experienced Optometrist. He has been practicing Optometry for over 15 yrs. He has received four degrees including two Bachelors from the University of Cincinnati, a doctorate from the New England College of Optometry, and Famiy Practice Residency from Northeastern State College of Optometry.
Butler is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had new contact lenses ordered and they arrived faster than usual. Paragon CRT is a unique rigid gas permeable contact lens designed to temporarily correct myopia (nearsightedness) by gently and reversibly reshapeing your cornea while you sleep. You may then be able to go throughout the day without any lenses. Paragon CRT lenses are made from an overnight contact lens material in a special design intended for this purpose.
Scleral lenses are large diameter rigid gas permeable lenses that range from 14 mm to over 20 mm in diameter. Large diameter scleral lenses offer certain advantages over corneal lenses. First, large-diameter lenses may be more comfortable than corneal lenses. The cornea is one of the most highly sensitive tissues in the body.
It is not uncommon for healthy eyes to notice spots or clouds that pass across your field of vision. These are called floaters and they may take a number of shapes and are most apparent when looking at a solid background. They are the shadow of small clots of gel or cells in the fluid that composes the inside of the eye.

Best service I’ve ever had from the moment I walked in. Very welcoming and professional. I was helped by both Alexis and Nella who were both very kind, and I really appreciated how Dr Butler examined and educated me on any questions/concerns I had. 10/10 Recommend! I went to Dr. Butler In Stony Point about a week ago. This was my first visit. It was a really good experience. I got there a few minutes early and called from the parking lot (Covid precautions) but it was quiet and they told me to come in. Very clean. Very safe as they took my temp upon entering. I’m a senior and am vaccinated, but I still appreciate the precautions. A very nice young lady showed me the glasses they had and also told me what she thought when I tried them on. As it turned out, she had great taste because I picked them up today and I love them—transition lenses. Dr. Butler

The doctor went much too quickly in asking me which I could better see. I plan to have my vision double checked somewhere else. After this, the worker helping me to find glasses, rushed me and did not even ask me about adding on things such as scratch resistance. The entire place reeked of people who hated their job.
