Our mission at New City Eyes is to provide comprehensive eye care and vision care in a caring and professional manner. Getting the right prescription for your eyeglasses or contact lenses is an important part of good eye care. But seeing clearly is just one part of your overall eye health. It's important to have regular eye exams with an optometrist whether or not you wear eyeglasses or contacts, even if your vision is sharp.

Formerly located at the Nanuet Mall, our office relocated to the Town Plaza Shopping Center in New City. Drs. Garbowitz and Eckstein have been serving Rockland County's eye care needs for more than 18 years. I have been a patient of both Dr. Garbowitz and Dr. Eckstein for close to 20 yrs. Not only are they consummate knowledgeable professionals but wonderfully warm, caring, open individuals.

Had a great experience with both the doctor and his staff. They were all so friendly and competent. I was struggling with my eyesight at night as well as my ability to balance my distance and reading. The doctor identified that I had a stigmatism and adjusted my lens for that which improved my ability to see. All in all a thorough eye exam.

I have been a patient of Dr. Eckstein for at least 20 years (although you'd never know she's been in practice for that long by looking at her) and trust her implicitly. She is very thorough and accurate in her lens prescription. They also have a great selection of frames to choose from.

This is the first time I have ever written a review. II recently purchased glasses at New City Eyes. I was at the store two times. Once to order my glasses and once to pick them up. Both times the receptionist who sits at the desk was extremely rude. Made me feel like she was doing me a favor by letting me in the store. On the other hand the optician who helped me with my glasses was extremely helpful and nice. That is the reason I purchased the glasses.

LOVED THE EXPERIENCE. Dr. Scott Garbowitz was the best. He was real relaxed and explained everything perfectly. Answer all my questions and the whole staff made my feel so comfortable. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Dr Garboritz was great with my 11 year old son. Figured out some vision issues other doctors had missed. Rest of the staff was good too. Would def recommend.
