Founded by Garland Edward Matthews in 1923, the original offices were first located on East bank Street in Petersburg, VA. Upon his death in 1953, the company was guided by R.G. Brockwell Sr., who soon passed the reigns of the company to his son, R. Garland Brockwell.

Properties can be viewed by checking out a key Monday thru Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm. You will need a state issued ID and a $20 cash key deposit. The key deposit is refundable as long as our office receives the key back on the same day before we close at 5:00pm. Keys are checked out on a first come, first serve basis.
