Ab-solutely Pilates studio offers individualized private and duet sessions instead of large multi-level group classes. Every client receives individual attention and each session is designed to meet his or her fitness goals from the person trying fitness for the first time to the professional level athlete.

With 18 years experience in Pilates and 20 plus in fitness, Devra will make sure that your experience is both fun and rewarding. Devra is certified through Polestar, The Physicalmind Institute, Colleen Glen Studios and Alternative Fitness (both mat and studio series). She is also licensed in Fletcher Towelwork and holds certification in personal training and group fitness from the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Services
Devra has been teaching the Pilates method since 1999. While recuperating from a low back injury, Devra decided to write an article on Pilates for an on-line fitness publication. Prior to teaching Pilates Devra had a career in corporate marketing and has degrees from the State University of New York at Albany (BA) and The American Graduate School of Int'l Management (MBA).
Ab-Solutely Pilates is a private Pilates studio. Duets are also offered as long as the duet has already been in regular contact. Sessions last 50 minutes and are by appointment only. Only the highest quality disinfectants are used to clean the equipment and studio regularly. No more than three client sessions a day are offered and no more than two people in a class at any time.
Pilates is a great exercise for my chronic low back pain and since it helped me, I have referred many of my patients to Devra. The most important thing is that it's an awesome form of exercise to help with the stubborn 'menopause pooch'. This is the one exercise class that benefits both me and my husband.
In 1923, Joseph Pilates brought his unique method of physical and mental conditioning to the United States. German-born Joseph Pilates had been asthmatic as a child, motivating him to improve his physique and strength. His study of martial arts and yoga, along with his work with physicians, led to the development of his conditioning system.
