I do cognitive-behavioral-psychodynamic-existential-pragmatic-behavioral therapy with children, adults, and couples. The goal is to make fantasy a reality, the unconscious elevated to consciousness, correct self-punitive thinking, experience a feeling of being in the moment, and reach some of the goals you have deemed unattainable.
Everyone needs hope. We despair and turn to alcohol, food, shopping, sex, and the infinite screen to fill our void. We think we know what we want: intimacy, confidence, inner peace, and a sense of achievement. We want to matter. We are tortured at times by self doubt implanted by past traumatization.

In order to come to a psychotherapist, you seek clarity from confusion, release from ambivalence, and a sense of choice and freedom in the midst of depression. The rhythm and pace of change is difficult to predict. If you stick with the process over a long enough period of time, some real changes can actually occur.
I am contracted with some insurance companies to provide psychotherapy. I will be glad to submit documentation to your carrier for reimbursement purposes if I am not a member of their panel. Fees for private pay clients can be discussed at the time of your initial contact. I do have a minimal sliding fee scale for those clients unable to afford my full fee.
From I-5, go to Exit 168B (Bellevue-Kirkland exit). Go mile and take Montlake Boulevard exit. At the top of this exit ramp, take a right turn at the filling station onto 24th Avenue East. At the third light (Newton Street), take a left turn and drive two blocks until the road dead ends at 26th Avenue East.
