Cavities (i.e., dental caries) are extremely common. On average, dentists report over 3 million cases per year. Cavities are caused by sugar from the foods we eat and bacteria in our mouth. Cavities can be prevented with good oral hygiene, a good diet and the help of consistent preventative dental visits.
Although tooth enamel is the most durable material in the body, it can still break from trauma or biting down on something hard. If a tooth already has large fillings or decay, it is even more susceptible to fracture. The treatment to repair your broken or chipped tooth depends on the degree of damage and can range from no treatment to root canal therapy.
The level of sedation a patient experiences depends on a variety of things such as the type of procedures, your age, medications taken, medical condition and health habits. The anesthesia you receive depends on the procedure you are having done, your health and your preference.

All types of anesthesia used in dentistry are administered to keep you comfortable and pain-free during dental procedures and surgeries such as fillings, extractions, crowns and root canals. There are differences between each type of anesthesia. Most commonly used by injecting medication directly into the area the dentist wants to numb.
Gum disease is an essential piece of your overall health, and if left untreated, can lead to problematic issues you want to avoid. According to the CDC, as many as 47.2% of Americans (64.7 million aged 30 and older) have gum disease. For people over the age of 65, this number rises to 70%. Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss and is associated with other diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is extremely common. Many over-the-counter products make unfounded promises about improving bad breath without addressing its causes. Many over-the-counter products make unfounded promises about being able to improve bad breath without addressing its causes. Removal of odor-causing bacteria is the most crucial part of treating halitosis.

Needed to take a relative who was visiting from outside the country (and with no dental insurance) for a checkup due to some tooth pain. While I've driven past Pure Dental Health several times and thought about the nice view some of the exam rooms have (overlooking Peachtree street), I've never visited the location for my own needs.

Anyways, the staff was super helpful on the phone and pretty clear about pricing (without insurance). They were also able to fit us in for a checkup quickly as compared to some of the other places we called. This was important as tooth pain is never fun!

WORST DENTIST IVE BEEN TO IN MY LIFE.
these people are so unprofessional it is ridiculous. They wrongly referred me to an Endodontist to get my root Canal reconstructed. They were suppose to take off my $5000 permanent crown to preserve it that another denist put on for the root canal reconstruction , & they didn't. When I went to get it reconstructed the business they referred me to drilled a hole in my permanent crown that was on for less than a year and should of lasted 14 more years. The Endodontist does not make crowns or temporary crowns so it was not their fault. They just did

Needed a new dentist in Atlanta and first visit turned into a $1700 teeth scraping. I was strongly advised to get a scraping and that insurance would cover at least half of the bill. I reluctantly agreed and paid over $800 out of pocket, while being told to come back a few weeks later for a complimentary follow-up ($100 follow-up that insurance DID NOT COVER).

Insurance covered the basic cleaning and very little of the scraping. I was sent the bill and have been trying to pay it off via payment plan ever since.

After a barrage of text messages reminding me of the balance, I paid off the debt

I have been a patient of Pure Dental Health in Atlanta since 2013 and for most of that time I have absolutely loved the experience. NOT ANYMORE. Last year, I was told that I needed a root canal. The dentist was incompetent and after 3 visits he was still unable to complete the root canal. He indicated that I should come back "Next Year" after my benefits refreshed for the new year. Now after being traumatized so much that I get anxiety when I go to the dentist now, they try and hit me up for 116.00. When I ask what's the charge for they send me an invoice for ambiguous "post

I appreciate someone reaching out to me after I had to do the most for about 4/5 hours just to get medication that your business did NOT give me & after being treated poorly by someone you have in training to manager & represent Pure Dental. No one threatened your or your business & no one cursed you or any of your employees out. Not on the review or on the phone. So that comment was NOT needed after you just made that huge paragraph about caring about your patients. This just simply shows the type attitude & business you guys have.

UPDATE: I did NOT give you or anyone consent

Update: I received a message from the manager of the office. He apologized and stated that no patient visits were recorded while in the office. Most phone calls are recorded (which, to me is reasonable considering the business), but that the office policies statement was an oversight and has since been removed from the office policies page.

I appreciate the practices' response to my concern and, again, the staff was extremely kind to me on the phone when I called to both schedule and cancel.

Black woman at the front desk was extremely rude upon entering. I already had anxiety coming to the dentist and then she made it worse being so unfriendly and snippy. Then when she came to explain that my insurance didn't cover anything she was very loud and condescending about me not being able to pay right then and there. When I called back the next day to schedule the appointment they recommended that I was paying out of pocket for she was extremely rude and short again. Never the less I hung up and found another dentist to go to she turned me off the whole business.

I usually hate getting any dental work done but I had recommendation from a family friend of mine to visit Dr. Nguyen.

Because of insurance changes, I've really been putting off what My previous dental clinic wanted me to get done and I also wanted to get a second opinion. Needless to say Dr. Nguyen really put my mind at ease and rest assured I only received the necessary service.

I really appreciate the honesty and exemplary patient care. I knew I made the right choice because
The team was very accommodating and friendly. The office was completely sanitary/clean.

I'd have to recommend you stay away due to the back office- they sent me to collections for something I left a card on file to pay for and dropped my perfect untarnished credit score 60 points in a day- was never notified they thought they were not paid, despite my card being left on file. I had multiple conversations with them before leaving as well to be sure that $289 got charged to that card and they indicated it would, only to have no knowledge of it later. I even paid their collection company immediately in Feb 2020 to make it stop and recover my score (still hasn't- still tarnished

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This company and their billing charges are on the level of scam artists. They goad you to pay up front and then when you don't get the services you paid in advance for, getting them to return your money is almost impossible. Also, they charge far above what the insurance companies deem as allowable then bill you for the difference.

After, not returning my phone calls to find out why my statement balance was still so high even with my insurance I received an email threatening to send my account to collections. The real kicker is that I'd already

We visited the clinic last summer for my husband to get a crown. Last week he had to have that tooth pulled because of the poor job they did. He had to visit the office several different times for fitting and they left his temporary cap on for over a month. They charged my insurance thousands of dollars, and now had to pay again for the extraction.

I do not recommend going here for any kind of long term treatment. Routine exams and cleanings are fine, but I have been dealing with this office with Invisalign and veneers and it has been a nightmare. If you go here long enough, you will find out that anyone only answers the phone about 50% of the time. I feel bad for the dentists and assistants who work here. And they seem to be switching call centers every 6 months. I once went almost a week with no one returning my messages and it got so bad the dentist and assistant gave me alternative numbers to reach them directly.

You will be treated

Pure Dental Health has come through again and this time it was with my 6 month smile braces. I was that kid that had braces for 3 years but never wore my retainer afterwards. Fast forward over 20 years later and I definitely had a desire to straighten out my lower front teeth and correct the space between my two front teeth.

I was introduced to Angela P. who was my primary ortho technician throughout the entire process. She was insightful, professional and extremely good at her craft. She answered ALL of my questions and concerns and I can't wait to take my braces off next week. I had them

I started coming here this year and I have made almost a dozen visits since the beginning of this year. I must admit that I'm more than pleased with the customer service and the technical skills I've received every visit.

When I first started visiting this year, I wasn't sure what to expect. I hadn't been to the dentist in years sadly, and was a little embarrassed that I would be scolded for it. Not Pure Dental! The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth, was honest about the importance of taking my dental hygienes more seriously, but I never felt like she was reprimanding me

I've been coming to Pure Dental for 6 years and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff is knowledgeable, pleasant, and accommodating. I've had my wisdom teeth extracted, a crown, and in-house whitening and have been completely
satisfied with the results. They also have an awesome referral program from movie tickets to an Apple Watch. Today, Trish cleaned my teeth and Rebecca assisted with my filling. They were professional, pleasant, and provided actionable feedback for continued dental care at home. So, if you're looking for quality results make Pure Dental your dental office

I am writing this review because my wife came here in October 2018 for their $99 New Patient Special that included X-ray, exam, and cleaning. She paid $50 upon arrival, got her xrays, some pictures of her teeth, and a polish. They did not clean her teeth citing she had periodontal disease and that she would need a deep cleaning. They drew up a dental plan that cost about $3200. She left the office with a toothbrush and floss and that was the last she heard from them.

Someone from their office called us in December 2018 to see if she'd like to schedule an appointment for the deep cleaning
