Services
Our Seattle Pilates studio is located in the University Village shopping center next to Crate & Barrel and above Jamba Juice. If you need to contact us about an existing appointment or scheduling, please email our front desk. If you have a general inquiry, please email our office. Private sessions are like working with a personal trainer at a gym. They are the best way to start Pilates because of the individual focus of these sessions. In a private session the workout is tailored specifically for you based on your age, fitness goals, and the presence of any prior injuries. The Starter Set introductory package offers our best private session rate.
A Pilates session is about 50 minutes in length and is composed of a combination of apparatus and matwork. We offer private, duet, and semi-private sessions in the studio. Our 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all sessions. An in-studio Pilates class is about 50 minutes in length. We offer a Reformer class for beginners and a MatPlus class for intermediate/advanced clients.

This is hands-down the best Pilates studio I've ever been to, not just in Seattle but anywhere. I'd been doing other Pilates styles (Stott, BASI, etc.) for several years before coming to Metropolitan, and everything I'd done before paled in comparison to the Classical method taught there. The studio is co-owned by Dorothee Vandewalle, who trained directly with Romana Kryzanowska and now runs a world-renowned teacher training program herself. The teachers at the studio are graduates of that rigorous program, so everyone you work with has years of experience and is able to tailor your workout to
