Our center has provided exceptional care and education of young children for over 30 years. Child Care Plus is a division of the Rita Beaulieu Center and offers programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as before- and after-school programs which include transportation to and from school for kindergarten and school-age children. Open year round, the Center offers above-standard teacher/child ratios and a caring and experienced staff. The facility is also protected by a high-tech video security system.
Services
Our infant program supports all areas of a newborn's development-social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language development. Our experienced staff will partner with parents to provide individualized care for their child. Daily monitoring of feedings, sleeping patterns, diapering and play activities will be recorded and provided for parents, in order to bridge the gap between school and home.
All the teachers at Child Care Plus Learning Center are experienced, caring and nurturing. They have various levels of education, certifications and degrees. All enroll in continuing education courses throughout the year. Our teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid. Our child:teacher ratios are lower than required by state regulations, and our rate of teacher retention is excellent.
Here at Child Care Plus, we know how important it is to educate children about healthy eating and healthy habits. In addition to two 45-minute recesses per day in our outdoor and indoor play areas, we offer the creative movement dance classes once per month, allowing the children to discover a variety of gross motor skills.
Family meals are making a comeback. Shared family meals are more likely to be nutritious. Kids who eat regularly with their families are less likely to snack on unhealthy foods and more likely to eat fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Teens who take part in regular family meals are less likely to smoke, drink alcohol, or use marijuana and other drugs, and are more likely to have healthier diets as adults, studies have shown.
The kitchen can be a fascinating place for young kids. They see grown-ups working briskly in there, watch the steam rise from pots on the stove, and smell what's on the menu that night. Even older kids might be intrigued by how baked goods and meals come together. It isn't always convenient to invite them into the kitchen to help, but consider doing so when time allows.

My three year old loves Child Care Plus she is excited each day to go to school. She loves all of her teachers and the fun crafts they do. She has also learned so much in her pre school class. The teachers are so dedicated and caring. ❤

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to Roger Williams zoo with my family yesterday (8/25/2020) we were waiting in line to go on the train before we left the park, and there was a group of probably 13 kids from this daycare waiting by the fence not even remotely close to the train. None of them had masks not even the teachers, they were around their chins but none of them were wearing them. When the train came to a stop the head teacher told all the kids to go line up and get on the train and completely cut us in line when we had been waiting in the correct line. These kids looked to be about

We moved to RI a little over a year ago and could not be happier to have found Child Care Plus for our son's daycare. He absolutely LOVES it here! He loves all of the teachers and has made so many friends. He looks forward to going here everyday and is so happy when he is there. He has been in the infant room since he was 3 months old. The attention, care, and love he receives from the staff has really helped him learn and grow. Due to the interaction with the other children and staff our son is very social. He loves other kids and all of his teachers. We consider ourselves very luck to have found

I would have to say this daycare was beyond toxic for my daughter!! My daughter loved it at first, then she became very irritable, and almost out of control at home. Come to find out she was being mean to her friends in daycare and not listening to teachers. I tried taking her to counselors, psychologist, sleep doctor's she didn't want to change. My daughter got kicked out of this daycare. The crazy thing about this whole thing is my daughter is now in kindergarten and she is 100000% a different child, it is very sad that a kindergarten teacher can work with my daughter (it didnt take yo much)

My 5 year old daughter loves going here every day. I know she is safe and happy while here. She also enjoys the field trips, so far shes been on two ( she just joined on July 1, 2014) The staff are friendly and have helped me feel comfortable letting them take her on trips.
I recommend this daycare very highly!!
