Planning a funeral can be overwhelming, but you are not alone in this. We're here to support you throughout this journey and make this process one of love, healing, and life celebration. Below is some information to help you get started, but you can contact us at any time if you need help.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.
Our Tribute Wall is a permanent virtual tribute you can return to whenever you'd like to revisit memories and reconnect with messages of support and love from family and friends. Guests can leave text comments, videos or audio message to share condolences and offer words of support, and when words aren't enough, there's an option to leave meaningful symbols.
We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and we promise to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Helen Jackson this morning, i called to get assistance with connecting to streaming my coworkers fathers service. Mrs. Helen was patient with me because I was frazzled because I was late getting connected.
I just wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her because if it wasn't for her i would have missed out on a wonderful service. i wasn't able to attend but i was able to stream and that really made me feel better under the circumstances.
THANKS MRS. HELEN YOU ARE THE BOMB.COM and Stewart Funeral Home needs to know they have a diamond in the ruff

I assisted a family member with the final arrangements of a loved one, Stewart was the funeral home of choice based on cost and location. Initial meeting and point of contact was with Ms. Washington, she was a pleasure to work with.
Our dissatisfaction with the arrangements came later, on the day of the service. (1.) The family car pickup was late; pickup location was within a 5-minute drive from the funeral home, yet when the arrival time came and went, we had to call to inquire about the status. (2.) We noticed multiple flaws on top of the $3k+ casket we purchased; one of the flaws in particular

Mr. Stewart’s legacy lives on. His staff handled my family and I with tact and care! They exceeded all my expectations. They actually showed me that they cared. I am so pleased. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because their projector system is completely outdated and in desperate need of an upgrade. Outside of that, everything else was perfect. Thank you for making this trying time a little easier with your warmth and care!

My Mother's service was today and I was greeted and then told... The person in charge of your service is at lunch at the exact time the service was about to start. Then their projector service wasn't compatible with the flash drive I provided so my photos had to be restarted through out the entire service. It seemed as if the employees were just there and not really providing their undivided attention to our needs!!

If I could I would give this Funeral home no stars at all! Horrible and unprofessional customer service from Ms. Ford. Her rude tone on the phone and the way she represented herself for the Funeral Home is wrong. Her sympathy and empathy for family members looking for information on their loved ones doesn't show. If she was my employee her behind would of been fired long long ago. She told me "don't go dictating how I am going to do my job and when I am talking don't interrupt me" when in fact I WAS NOT DOING that in any way, shape, or form. I was simply asking her "where is your sympathy and understanding

Exceptional! Exemplary!
These are only a few words I use to describe the abundance of compassion and empathy received from the Stewart Funeral Home staff, of Washington D.C. during this unimaginable and painstaking loss of my granddaughter.
From inception to interment, our family, full of grief and sorrow, were treated with none other than the upmost respect.
Honorable mentions are  as follows:
Mr. Bowman, Funeral Director, who's mannerism, demeanor and respect for his craft in customer satisfaction, reigns Supreme! If an award could be handed to him, for his outstanding professionalism and

To Staff and Director,
It is with deep gratitude that I write this thank you review to Steward Funeral Home. My family lost beloved stepfather family patriarch on September 8, 2019.
We have never experienced a family death and funeral before in the United States. We are originally from Cuba where funeral customs are different. Steward Funeral Home is in my father and mother’s neighborhood, and I decided to use its services mostly for the geographic convenience.
Little did I know that this place would be such a boon in a time of great sorrow. My stepfather was always fortunate in finding good
