Main Street Optometry

I had the most positive, thorough, and friendly eye exam and experience finding glasses at this local place. It's teeny tiny, but BIG on customer service. Highly recommend Dr. Zelaya, who patiently went through testing and answered my questions with a good sense of humor. My optician was also rad, and we had fun choosing a par of flattering glasses along with the appropriate lens.

This is my go-to optometrist and I got my contact lenses as well as glasses here with my insurance. I love this place because of their excellent selection of frames and affordable prices. Also the service here is phenomenal. I've spoken with the guy (I didn't get his name) and Heidi and they're both kind, patient and consultative. Heidi was super helpful in giving me information on what different types of lenses do. Thank you Heidi and the staff here for helping me out!!

I've been seeing Dr. Fahringer from the opening of her practice. She's not just good at what she does but her manner is simply lovely. Half the battle of seeing any type of doctor is how comfortable you are made to feel. I'm not only perfectly comfortable at every visit but the icing on the cake is all the great frames I get to choose from!

So I came here again to get my glasses fixed. I was lounging on my bed and rolled onto my frames. I left a voicemail on Friday evening to see if I can come in sometime to get them fixed. I received a text asking when is a good time to come in and I was able to schedule immediately. I came in a few days later and Tericka was able to fix them! I was out within 10 minutes! They're open on Saturdays btw! Everyone in the office is so helpful, kind and professional. I will continue going here!

I had my first time examination at Main Street Optometrists last Thursday. I had heard really good things about Dr. Heidi Fahrenger for years but had never gone there before. She was wonderful. I was very pleased. In fact everyone I dealt with in the office was wonderful, especially the young lady, Yancy, who spent much time with me with preliminary exams and patiently answering all my questions. I am very happy with my new optometrist.

I just can't sing their praises almost brings me to tears. Extremely nice and well knowledgeable. Thank you for providing a top notch service. Other businesses could learn from them!!!

Family has used this optometrist for past 10 years. But they decided to stop taking major insurance plans. Very disappointing. I couldn't believe they would fire half their customers. Can no longer recommend. Find a better shop.

I was a client here about 3 years before I gave up and switched to another provider. The eye docs are great, but every year I had issues with insurance billing mistakes by the office staff. I never knew what I owed and often they would tell me I owed additional payment when I went to pick up my order. Too much hassle for eye exams + lenses.

This place is great for me because it very close to my work! It's probably great for others bc there are so many places to eat before or after your appointment.

Everyone here was super pleasant and knowledgeable. Dr. Fahringer helped me out and what I really appreciated about her was that she was easy to talk to and during the series of "tests" she was explaining to me what she was inspecting. I haven't been to too many optometrists and not sure if it's general policy but being the curious person I am, I loved that part of it!

I hate that when people don't respect customers' time. When they don't care to clearly tell them when to pick up your order, and you go there, you planned for it a head, and your order is not there, your workday plan is already ruined, and you have to ruin another workday to pick up your order....when I requested eta, they texted me tomorrow your glasses are shipping out, when I asked what time, the answer was work day 8 to 6...so I go there the day after determined tomorrow and my glasses are not there...terrible job guys...disrepectful inaccurate text....that shows they just want to get rid of

Dr. Fahringer is great. She tells you the purpose of each part of your exam, and I've never felt rushed during an appointment. The entire staff is very helpful and kind.

I was scheduled for a very important job interview on a Monday at 7am, and I was not counting on my frames to break a few days before. As a result, my anxiety went from a 7 to a 9 (with 10 being a nervous breakdown). Ordering new frames would take weeks, and I didn't have that time (I needed my glasses for the interview because I have stigmatism). Luckily, my friend lives in Culver City and guided me to Main Street Optometry where I had the best possible service.

Customer service beyond belief! Everyone was friendly and helpful but Mike, in particular, was just the best! Right before Easter weekend and an upcoming interview, my friend broke the frames of her glasses. We ran to Main Street Optometry hoping for a miracle and Mike saved the day (and weekend...and interview). He picked out a perfect set of frames that would fit her current lenses and adjusted them to her face, making her look stylish and professional in record time. Now my friend can focus on prepping for her interview instead of worrying about how to fix her glasses. Thank you, Mike!

I have been going to Main Street a few years now and I just love everyone there! A selected a pair of glasses recently and wasn't in love with the final product, they could not be anymore accommodating! I'm new to Culver City and wanted to stay close to home when finding a new optometrist. Main Street is great! Easy to get to and easy to park if you're going to drive here. When booking my appointment Tracy was so very helpful and dealt with my numerous phone calls trying to reschedule. The service is amazing and Dr Chowaniec was phenomenal. Lani was also very outstanding and provided amazing customer service. She was very knowledgeable of the options. I went with the Tom Ford frames and I have zero regrets. Glad to be in the neighborhood. :)

Incredibly unfriendly, borderline rude front desk attendant. The one woman who "helped" me seemed annoyed by any questions I had. I will not be coming back.

Great prices on I exams and a doctor that really does take time to check your vision. Discounts were available when I got my prescription filled with him for the eyeglasses.

I am here visiting from out of town and had an emergency contact situation. Edwin came through and was able to find me two pairs of my contacts, super quickly and free of charge. The rest of my trip would have been a total bummer...thanks for helping me to see and saving my trip, Edwin!

I received exceptional customer service; starting with the exam and glasses.

My prescription for astigmatism is extremely difficult for labs. The staff worked with my previous optometrist for measurements. They were nothing but patient throughout the process.

Highly recommend and will be coming back when I need an exam and new glasses again.

I was skeptical about trying a new optometrist but knew that my old one just wasn't convenient anymore. I was able to make a quick appointment , within like a week. I went in and was greeted right away. I was seen in a reasonable amount of time.

I ended up getting glasses, prescription sunglasses and contacts.
My main complaint is that I called two weeks after to inquire on my glasses, which were ready for pick up. But why didn't anyone call me to tell me? Also when getting my both glasses i had to ask about anti-scratch or polarizing (is that how you say it) them. The add on features

2. The young "manager" and other young staff lack maturity, professionalism, typical younger millennial trophy generation grade. Its not cool, and it's not progressive. Dr. Katya Zelaya just stands there w/ grin.

A pair of my sunglasses were stepped on and I thought done for! I drive by Hour Glass Optical every day on my way to and from work so I figured I would stop by and see if they could help (after seeing all the great reviews!). I met Kathy and Veronica, who were both very sweet. Kathy fixed not just one but two pairs of my glasses in a matter of seconds! Such a great experience and great service. I will be back!
