Have been coming to Castle reef for years. This year we had a problem with the toilet in our unit. Plumber was sent 3 times to fix it. Then it overflowed all over the unit.
In the meantime the bathroom at the pool was closed for repairs. We had no toilet. When my wife asked the manager at the desk she was told to go across the street to discount store to use their toilet. After my wife pressed her she was allowed to use the toilet in the office.
Now, the manager wants to keep my security deposit of $500.00 to pay for cleaning the rugs and extra towels I used to prevent the toilet water from running

Renting here at this complex is OK. BUT NEVER BUY A CONDO HERE AT CASTLE REEF! The HOA will rent out your condo without you knowing it, especially if they know that you live out of state. Caveat Emptor. Consider yourself warned! When we found out this was happening, we sold our third floor unit immediately and bought at The Inlet. Much better HOA and not shady! Who knows how many owners they are doing this to!

My wife and I have owned at CR for about 12 years. A big part of our decision to buy at CR was the friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are some of the most beautiful on the beach, and always well maintained. The beach is just a short walk and the large pool is even closer. The rates are very reasonable. Casttle Reef is the perfect vacation getaway.

Nice room and pool and right on the beach. My problem the reason i gave them 2 stars. Is everyday i have been here i have been woke up by them pressure washing and the loud noise of it. Being woke up before 9 on vacation is a annoying especially by that loud of a noise right out side my window. They should do it at a later point in the day. No thought process went in to this planning. I would have liked to sleep in. Really annoying every morning.

I rented a unit here. The unit itself had a great view. The kitchen is dated but the rest of the unit is cozy. The problem comes with the layout of the property and the confusion with parking. Airbnb said there are no assigned parking spots, that turns out to be untrue. Make sure you register your vehicle with the front office. Doesn't help someone is in my assigned spot.
Where I must park and where my unit is, are completely on different ends. When it rains you will get soak. It's faster to carry your luggage up the stairs than walk all the way around to the elevator.

We greatly enjoyed our week’s stay in condo unit #233. The condo was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated in a fitting beach theme. Everything felt fresh from the painted walls to the new carpeting. The beds were so comfortable that we didn’t want to get up in the morning, and the mattresses looked and felt new. There was no sagging in any of the beds. The living room furniture was in perfect condition and we appreciated the recliner features in both couches and chair. No sagging there either!
