One of the worst retail experiences in recent history.
It has been over six months since our goods were picked up by shippingmygoods.com in San Francisco. Four months later, zero communications about what's going on with the goods. Emails to my original sales person (Anthony) were responded to with an automatic reply indicating that he was ill and could not respond. The email indicated to respond to "Jonathan" who did not respond to numerous emails and phone calls. There is no listed email or phone number on the website - you will see that. Therefore, it's impossible to contact anyone else. Turned

Reading reviews, it's understandable that a potential customer wouldn't know what to think, it's all over the place! The very competitive pricing led me to ignore the bad reviews when I was getting quotes to ship my boxes from California to France last year... I told myself “It’s bad luck" & "these people leaving bad reviews must be serial complainers"...well, unfortunately, I wish I did trust the bad reviews. Here are the details as to why I do not recommend shippingmygoods.com:

Howard Duharte does not respond to emails and is incredibly unprofessional . As others have mentioned they use a third party for pick up. It’s been two weeks since our items were retrieved from the third party and we have had ZERO communication from Howard nor this company. We have emailed and called several a times to no avail . The third party company told us that Shipping My Goods has yet to send them a truck to pick up our items that are supposed to be shipped overseas. This is ridiculous. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Howard and Jonathan were so helpful during our first international move. I was skeptical because the price was half as much as the name-brand van lines in the US. I appreciated how well they explained customs procedures. They were clear, accurate, and they got their people to our place on time. Everything was carefully wrapped and arrived on time again in Europe. We opted to get insurance, but everything went smoothly.
We liked working with them so much we're using them again to move back to the US.

EDIT: as it turns out, shippingmygoods, and particularly Anthony, do care about their reputation and customers.
I changed my original 1 star review to 4 stars, after they admitted that there were a few issues with their handling of my shipment and they gave me a refund for some of the additional charges that were incurred.
They did not do a perfect job, but in the end they did what they could to correct the problems and I believe they had honest intentions all along.

I used Shipping My Goods to transport my goods from Boston, MA to Barcelona, Spain. At first it was a pleasant experience working with them to organize the pickup of my goods. Once it was picked up, however, it was a very painful and expensive experience. I was not communicated with that my goods had arrived in Europe despite being in constant contact with Howard. They blame their bad email server that messages end up in spam, but I honestly don't know how you can run a business with that excuse. If it's not working, change it.

After 6 month of planning & making things happen, I can finally say we managed to successfully move from US (Austin, TX) to Poland. I'm not going to lie, moving oversees is a lot of hard work but with Shipping My Goods were were able to minimize the stress and overall drama. At the beginning of 2020 we did the research, I reached out out 5-6 different shipping companies and started working with Clay & Jonathan from SMG. I have now used Shipping My Goods and specifically David Bellavance for 3 moves over a 5 year span. LA>London, London>LA, Orlando>LA.... and they have been fantastic every step of the way! Anyone who has moved overseas knows it's not easy and managing customs, freight and all of items delivering in great shape, no issues. Shippingmygoods.com reviewed the cubic feet estimate (193 cubic feet instead of 100 cft) two months after they picked up my goods, although I had communicated to them before the pickup date what I was shipping with all measurements. Before they picked up my goods, I decided to go with them because their quote was lower than the ones of other moving companies.
But here is the thing: now that they have my goods, they are sending me an invoice with a price more than 4 times higher than the one I was

Be warned - there are hidden charges at every point - they hire third parties and you will pay for every mistake. There will be no communication and you will not know where your shipment is no matter how many calls, emails, texts you send. You will get your shipments months and months and months late and everything will come completely mangled and damaged. Save yourself long months of worry, frustration, and heartache. I wish someone had warned me. I am at my wit's end after all these months to have received everything broken.

I used their services on October 10th in Washington, DC to move my household items, clothes, etc. to Jamaica, NY and was told my items would arrive in two weeks. I haven't heard from my "Shipping Specialist" since October 16th. I have left numerous emails and tried to call him many times. I have absolutely no idea where all my items are or when they will arrive so I've resorted to writing this review in hopes someone at the company will respond to my attempts to contact them. Do NOT use this company under any circumstance.

What an horrible experience we had with our international shipment via Shipping My Goods and the insurance cover from Anova which Shipping My Goods advised us to purchase, to apparently protect us.
We have several issues....
- The removalist used to pack our goods left a 3rd of them behind and no one contacted us to let us know
- 1/3 of the container of goods were damaged or broken due to poor packing
- Shipping My Goods advised us to purchase ANOVA All Risk Insurance but there was NO point in purchasing insurance through ANOVA, especially their "All Risk Insurance" as you are not

Jonathan and David were extremely helpful in making arrangements to ship a 40 foot container with household goods, a car and a motorcycle from Nevada to Austria. Excellent communication, always available and very helpful advise on what will be needed to clear the container. Everything arrived in excellent condition and without any major issues.
