Professional and competent home inspectors are fully trained in the proper operation of all common home systems. Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps: Cooling and air-handling equipment controls and ducting, etc.
Home inspectors should present the customer with a clearly written or typed or printed home inspection report, which must conform to the accepted standards of practice for the state the inspection is performed in or the standards of practice of the association that the home inspector belongs to.

Homeowners who have owned their homes for several years can even benefit from a home inspector's knowledge of maintenance and repairs, and experience to avert potential problems. Many independent and nonprofit organizations exist to promote ethical practice and professional standards throughout the home inspection industry.
Septic systems are being used in 25% of all U.S. homes. Poorly managed systems have been named as a concern by nearly every federal and state program that deals with water resource issues. According to various reports and studies, an estimated 10% to 20% of septic systems fail each year. Septic systems treat and disperse relatively small volumes of wastewater from individual or small numbers of homes and commercial buildings.
Check Your Plumbing - Most older homes were built with copper pipes soldered together with toxic lead, or actual lead pipes. Over time, the lead dissolves into your drinking water, threatening the health of your family.
Health officials often recommend that homeowners in this situation let the tap run for a few minutes before using the water for drinking or cooking, to flush clean water through the lines, but this method wastes water and is not guaranteed to achieve safe water quality. You can also replace the toxic pipes, but a less costly option would be to install a water filter.

Words cannot explain how grateful i am to have used Don Antry as my home inspector. It will be my first home purchase and i honestly dont have much knowledge at all on anything that has to do with houses. He walked me through everything and explained every single thing. Answered all of my questions thoroughly and even thought me alot of new things. If anyone is looking for a home inspector i highly recommend Don. Thank me later !
