Baby shrimp, crab meat, herbs and spices served on a bed of lettuce; garnished with fresh fruit. A Grecian delight! Roasted beef and lamb wrapped in a pita bread, topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and Tzadziki sauce. A plate full of gyro, pita bread, fries, topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and a side of Tzadziki sauce.
We carry wines from a variety of regions of Greece, as well as delicious California house choices. A traditional Greek wine with a dry, slightly piquant flavor and the characteristic hint of pine resin. Cabernet, Agiortikio, and Syrah combine for aromas of red fruit, a lively color and smoky character.

We enjoyed Olympia Cafe enough that we ate here twice during our most recent trip to Savannah. The cafe is quaint, quiet, and positioned in just the right spot on the riverwalk. We enjoyed gyros, chicken kebabs, the spinach pie, the skordalia, and -- you can't miss the saganaki. Who doesn't love flaming cheese? They light it right at your table!
While the Olympia is struggling through light staffing issues, as are many other restaurants, the servers were friendly and hard-working. We patiently waited for our food -- and it was well worth the wait. The gyros were delicious, the

First and last time for sure. Was impressed by the reviews rate and went there yesterday, the fish was spoiled, rotten spoiled 🤮 . So Disappointed ☹️ and the manager or the chef bother themselves to apologize just the waiter apologized and that was not her fault. They should put Zero rate because one is more than they deserve. They offered another plate but already had enough and couldn’t eat aging there after that plate and bad reaction from the chef and manager 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Wow, what a wonderful meal all the way around. The kids had pasta and a gyro. But I had the Red Snapper filet with Almonds and it was a just spectacular! I really, really, really enjoyed this meal. Even the sides were just wonderful. I highly recommend that everyone try this unassuming yet delightful restaurant. The family is walking around keeping tabs on everyone and saying hello. The atmosphere also has a nice authentic Greek / Medetranian feel. Just try this restaurant... You won't regret it. Looking forward to coming back in the future as we live out of town.

Popped into the Olympian Cafe after a few hours of walking around downtown Savannah - the self-serve section of the restaurant was secluded and a great spot to sit and get out of the sun.
We had the classic Gyros - followed with a few ice cold bottled waters. LOTS of different food options ranging from calamari to souvlaki to baked goods and frozen cocktails.
The cooks were funny and extremely quick putting our food together - they know what they’re doing! Thank you guys for a good bite to eat and a new spot to stop by whenever I’m in the area.

This is a typical looking Greek restaurant with you familiar favorites. But the flavor profile is great. The BBQ gyro is a great choice. My sister order the grilled salmon was cooked to perfectly. One item was a little cool but the our server Kembi was great getting it corrected. The service was very good professional.

What happened?!
Savannahian here and this place used to be awesome. Not so any more. The food is meh and the service deplorable.
I used to come here just for the calamari. It was the one thing I thought I could rely on... but not anymore. What used to be melt-in-your-mouth delicious now has the texture and taste of a garden variety deep fried confection from a county fair.
I can only assume the ingredients have been compromised and the staff has lost their passion. The host and the waitstaff certainly have.
Dishes like the saganaki (flaming cheese) the octopus and even the beloved gyro tasted

So glad that we stopped here for a quick bite.
Their food is excellent and the service very fast. We were in the Express cafe which is self-service.
They have quite a few menu options including many for vegetarians. There is limited seating in the Express cafe with 2-3 tables outside as well.
The location is perfect as it on River Street and so close to the river.
Definitely recommended!!!

I realize this is an anecdotal experience, but it has stuck with me.
Stopped by a couple months ago for spiked hot chocolate. Due to it being crowded with customers and employees who weren't wearing masks, my sister and I went in to order and left our husbands outside with the kids.
We attempted to order 4 alcoholic drinks and were told we needed two more IDs. We didn't realize that was the law--absolutely no problem, happy to oblige--so we got our husbands' and presented them to order (after waiting in line again). We were then told "No. I need the people." Could&apos

Olympia Cafe has a few options for dining -- sit down restaurant, to go window, and ice cream! I made it in for sit down dining about 1 hour before they were closing. It wasn't too busy, and service was extremely quick! Everyone we worked with was friendly, and we saw the manager or owner mingling with customers. I ordered a falafel sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a gyro sandwich. We both enjoyed them a lot! If i remember correctly, our check was less than $25. I would absolutely recommend and return!

We both Had the chicken gyro with fries. The place was empty when we went in around 7:30 on a Thursday. Food was ready super quick and was pretty good. The pita and fries were super hot and tasty. The chicken was a good portion but not as hot as I would have liked. Perfect amount of food and good prices.

The was some of the best greek food I've had. I'm so glad we decided to stop here for dinner during our stay.
We came for dinner and luckily when we came it wasn't too crowded but it was full by the time we left.
We got hummus and pita to start and I got a lamb gyro with a greek salad. Unfortunately I think the order for the hummus got lost and we didn't get it until I reminded the waitress half way through our meal. Regardless the food was so good I hardly remembered that happened. I loved the greek salad and how simple it was and the lamb in my gyro was very well cooked.

We've been to Savannah many times and passed by this place without realizing what a gem it was. We decided to have lunch here on Thanksgiving Day. We chose to order several appetizers to share.
I started with a glass of Greek red wine to sip on while we waited for our food. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was quite lovely and romantic. We loved the atmosphere! We arrived early and were seated at the front of the restaurant with a window looking out to River Street.
Now for the very yummy food:
Gyro appetizer of course because we love gyro. It was delicious.

COVID Edition - We made our first trip back into Savannah as we are getting out more and Jo (my wife) wanted Greek food. Olympia Cafe is located right on River street and we thought it would be nice to see the historic Savannah area as it had been a couple of months since we had traveled to downtown. We went at lunch time and ordered our normal unsweetened iced teas when our waiter (Alec) suggested their scallop and shrimp Mediterranean style over couscous and Jo changed the plan to an early dinner...(so much for my glass of wine). Oh well, Allen also recommended the lamb chops or the shank
