Neither the staff nor Dr. wear masks in this office, although masking is currently required for healthcare practitioners in the state of CA. There is no place for politics in healthcare. If a healthcare practitioner is not current on the medical research and/or is blatantly disregarding regulations meant to be protective of patients, then I definitely do not trust them with my care.

Best experience I have ever had at an optometrist!
Very little to no wait time. Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Dr. McDonald was very knowledgable and took time to listen to the issues I have been having. While it had nothing to do with my eyes, he was very helpful in suggesting other potential causes of my medical issue. Totally not pushy and did not suggest I needed glasses unless my eyesight really bothered me.
Frint desk staff went out of their way to find that my exam was covered under insurance (I had no idea it was) to save me $. :)

I really like Dr. McDonald's office. He is super friendly and makes you feel very at ease, and his staff is also wonderful. Everyone is very nice and helpful, especially with explaining insurance coverage. I submitted a request for an appointment online and they called me right away to get it set up- they also always remember me and my husband which I also really appreciate. They have a pretty good variety of glasses for men and women and are patient and helpful with the trying on/choosing out a pair of new glasses process. I have recommended Dr. McDonald to coworkers and even strangers-

I went to Dr. McDonald just over a year ago, had the eyes checked & ordered glasses. The glasses are the problem; over the course of the last year, I returned on 3 separate occasions to have the frames straightened before I gave up. Every single time they were still slightly out of whack, but I convinced myself that it was just me - the staff had an air of impatience with me that made me feel uncomfortable. Well, they are not & were not just me. These are Polo frames (costly) and look horrible. I ordered another pair online & wear them only at home. Dr. McDonald is fine; his staff,

My wife and I have been going to this doctor's office for years. The people at the desk are always accommodating and willing to help whether it is to adjust a frame or answer billing questions. I have had last minute scheduling changes occur on my end and the receptionist was able to schedule me without any other conflicts. Of course this also depends on their availability. Towards the end of the year it tends to be busy as people try to use the remainder of their Flex accounts. I have taken my 8 and 10 year old boys here for checkups and the boys both enjoyed going to this optometrist. Good people

I have Congenital Nystagmus and have been through eye Dr. after eye Dr. year after year all have been professional they do their job but every once in a while you find a person that knows their stuff. I can honestly say Dr. McDonald is one of those guys who absolutely knows his eyes more than the average eye Dr. he is absolutely brilliant. I'm close to 20/20 and trust me when I say the last few prescriptions I have received by other experienced eye Drs have unfortunately not worked well for me. I'm sticking with you for as long as possible thank you. The staff is awesome aswell they aren

Rude! Called to let them know I Was going to be five minutes late. they said they could no longer see me .... Was a new customer, but will never be seen by this office. I've regularly gone to an eye doctor since I was 5 years old and I do more waiting around than any other type of doctors visit... 5 minutes wouldn't have made the office any later or delayed than they normally are!

Dr. McDonald was the first eye doctor I have ever gone to. That was about 6 years ago. He was the one who originally told me I need glasses, boy what a difference being able to see! Well moving down the hill I went to a different doctor who told me I don't need glasses but they gave me them anyway. I just recently broke that pair so I decided to go back to Dr. MsDonald. He did every test in the book and showed me the difference between my eyes by them selves, with the glasses the other doctor gave me, and the prescription I actually need, I was blind with glasses!! He is the only eye doctor

Dr. McDonald has been my optometrist for 4 years and I don't want to go to anyone else. He is knowledgeable, nice, friendly and explains things without being pretentious.
I can get in and out with little to no waiting for my appointment.
When my mom's lens popped out of the frame, she stopped by and in 5 minutes they had fixed it.
They always call when my contacts or glasses are ready for pick up. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable too.
The place is clean and they have many glasses frames to choose from with a price point for anyone.

This office is wonderful. I fell a year ago, and broke my glasses, as well as my face! Dr. McDonald's office were so wonderful, and they helped me so much. They got my glasses back to me as quickly as was possible, and were extremely sweet and took great care of me. I've been a patient for about 20 years, and have always been happy with them.
