Founded in 2005 by a fourth-generation Oregonian family, Seufert Winery is rooted in the rich land of the Willamette Valley. Dedicated to creating Oregon wine, the Oregon way, founder Jim Seufert creates award winning natural wine to express the unique terroir of the region. Seufert Winery seeks out distinctive vineyards to source quality grapes grown with sustainable practices and respect for the land.
Join us in our wine country tasting room, located in historic downtown Dayton, for great company and zero pretension. Wine tasting flights are $10, waived with a bottle purchase. From Portland: Follow Highway 99 through Dundee. Go four miles past Dundee and turn left onto Highway 18 towards McMinnville bypass.
The Oregon Wine Awards offers Oregon State wineries and cideries an opportunity to be evaluated by a Tasting Panel of local, regional, national and international wine industry professionals in a single-blind setting proofed and vetted by certified sommeliers. Each sample has been tasted twice and confirmed sound by our sommelier pouring team prior to being presented to the Tasting Panel.
Soft yet firm and supple, with complex fruit (black cherries, earth), finely balanced, ready to drink but better after some time maturing. Enjoy with a wide range of foods. Clive Pursehouse of NW Wine Anthem pays a visit to Dayton, Oregon during crush 2011 and hears our bad (but good) 80's mix featuring Spandeau Ballet as we punch down 1.5 tons of fermenting Pinot noir.
It's crab season and this year is proving to be a plentiful lot. We are receiving fresh beautifully size crab at local stores. We picked up some perfect crabs from NW Fresh Seafood in Newberg. Citrus is in season and its easy to find large fresh lemons anywhere. This pairing is bright, light and delicious.

We stopped by tasting room after shopping at the shop next door. Due to special event- Shop Hop, we received a free tasting. Hate to admit it, I am not a wine drinker til now... they had me taste their Riesling... and I am hooked! I even bought a cool necklace from Nasci Designs! Gotta say- it was a great afternoon!

What a delightful hour we spent with Michelle. She is the wine maker and a delightful host as well. We chatted about wine, wine making, and a dozen other things. She went beyond the wines on the tasting list as we talked about the kinds of wines we enjoy.
The tasting fee is $5 and is comped with a purchase. This is such a pleasant change from the over priced, underwhelming tasting experiences you'll find elsewhere. And the wines which Michelle makes are outstanding. Her commentary on each tasting was insightful and educational. Wines are reasonably priced. Don't leave without a

What a fantastic find. The reds are bold, beautiful, and brilliant. The winery is just 3 years old and gorgeous. The tastings are only $5 and refundable with a bottle tasting. One of the best deals in the Dundee Hills and Willamette Valley areas. Situated right in downtown Dayton town, it has the same charisma and class as the wineries in downtown Sonoma or Healdsburg in California. The winery was very relaxing and full of charm. I really enjoyed my stay. With free WiFi and a great music soundtrack - I just felt like I found my new "happy place". The red swivel chairs make a person

The tasting room and wines are great...However, I joined the wine club and never received my wine. They charged me $142.95 but it has been over a month (37 days) since they promised shipment and my wine never arrived. I contacted them several times and they promised that my wine would be shipped, the last time claiming that they would send my wine the next day and upgrade my order to two day shipping, that was 20 days ago. In the mean time wine orders from other Oregon wineries arrived, no problem. I cancelled my wine club membership. Consumer beware if you join their wine club!

Michelle and her staff are wonderful. They are eager to teach you what they know, and make you feel like a genuine friend. Not stuffy like some of the other wineries close by. I love the local art that they display ( and sell), the cozy fire and seating, inviting you in to sit and gather with friends. Chat, or play a game. The wine is damn excellent too!

Capped off a great day wine touring at Seufert this past weekend. Their tasting room is gem among so many great ones in the area. Laid back, warm, and welcoming to our group. We spent an hour working through their diverse and unique wines, all of which are superbly done and food approachable, and another hour chatting wine with one of the owners. Such a great experience.
The Pinots are the stars of the lineup at Suefert, some of my favorites in the area, but its also fun to explore the rest of their wines. The owners are chefs, so each offering has a story, and some food related intent

Still love my local winemaker's wine - great earthy, complex pinot noir. Now, with beautiful new digs at 303 Main Street in a new gorgeous commercial development called Francis Court. Perfect place to curl up by the fireplace and do your tasting, or sip & sprawl in the comfy outdoor chairs in the courtyard & people watch, view the historic fort in the town green across the street, and snack on their charcuterie plates - these guys know their foodie snacks! highly recommended.

I liked the place. Very small tasting room but very nice staff. We liked their wines especially for the price. The biggest thing they have is the wine club. When you average out the price per bottle they are cheaper than Naked and just as good if not better. They were bottling when we were there so a little noisy but cool to watch.

What a great find! Great tasting wines, extremely pleasant server and we loved that we were able to sit back and relax in their tasting room and enjoy a picnic of snacks while we were tasting. Everyone in my group of 8 purchased 1-3 bottles. I think it was not just because of how the wine tasted, but how welcomed we felt too.

This was our last wine tasting stop in three days of Willamette Valley wine tasting. We had planned it to be so. Because while Seufert bottles several small lot options in Pinot Noir, and gets critical kudos on their Pinot as good value of quality at lower cost, they also bottle reds other than Pinot Noir. Those can be hard to find in the Willamette Valley and since we were doing the groundwork for an upcoming event with folks in tow who are red wine drinking centric but NOT Pinot Noir fans (imagine), we wanted to round out possible stops with winemakers making different reds.

Cheers to Oregon Vino!
We had the opportunity to taste Seufert wines at The Bite of Oregon over the weekend and couldn't resist taking home a bottle of the Best Pinot and Best of Show "Johan Vineyard" Pinot Noir. This is an incredibly balanced wine with emphasis on the grape and low tannins. Highly recommend you find a bottle!
We were so impressed we joined the wine club. After you taste, I'm sure you will be as well. This winery can hang with any in the Napa Valley.

Seufert Winery is one of Oregon's Top Indie Pinot Noir winemakers!!
My friend and I decided we wanted to do a drive through the wine country and we landed upon Seufert Winery. Its such an unassumed facility that we almost missed it! Don't let the industrial facade fool you, this place can match any Pinot Noir in the market!
We walk inside the place and its not your typical chateau or Vineyard because it does not have one. The owner buys his grape from several high end growers/vineyards to give his clients/customers high value wines for a fraction of its cost!
