Services
Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Smith worked in a variety of settings in and around Oklahoma City after completing their training in child psychiatry and came to realize how difficult it was to find quality outpatient psychiatric care for their patients, and in particular care that is tailored towards youth.
Willow Youth Mental Health is an outpatient facility providing evaluation and treatment for a variety of mental health concerns for children and adolescents. We strive to provide care that is comprehensive, evidence-based, compassionate and takes a "whole child" approach - considering environmental, cultural, educational, biological and social factors which contribute to a child's well-being.
The purpose of the initial visit is to clarify diagnoses and formulate a treatment plan. All pertinent medical and mental health records are reviewed and you will meet face to face with the physician, typically both child and family together as well as some time with the child alone.

If medication is a part of your treatment plan you will have regular appointments with your provider to monitor your response to medications, check for side effects, and for ongoing evaluation of your treatment needs.
Dr. Kim is a physician board certified in psychiatry who provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients ages 5 to 21. She attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma on an academic scholarship. During her time there she developed a passion for psychiatry and knew that she also wanted to work with children and their families.
