Red River Youth Academy is a child and adolescent residential behavioral health treatment center located in Norman, Oklahoma. We provide treatment for boys ages 7-17 and girls ages 12-17 with severe emotional/behavioral conditions. Our trauma-informed program focuses on youth exhibiting severe aggression, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and self-harm.
The general length of stay ranges from 30 to 90 days. Individual, group, and family therapy is provided in a structured, secure setting. School is taught onsite by Norman Public Schools teachers. Parents/guardians may submit a request to Norman Public Schools to transfer school credits earned to the child's home school upon discharge.

Services
Therapy services consist of a Clinical Supervisor and Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals or candidates for licensure. The department provides a variety of services including but not limited to: psychological assessments, group therapy, and individual and family therapy. Our educational program consists of up to six hours every school day.

Best facility in state. The new staff and team are phenomenal. Can not say enough good things about this place, since being taken over by a new team this place is hands down 5 stars across the board. They communicate with parents and keep you updated daily, and family therapy sessions are amazing. They help the kids get to the bottom of there issues and don't sugar coat things. They really care about the kids and want to help them be successful young adults.

I find the team at Red River to be some of the best in the state. The care for each child while in the residency program truly is remarkable. The staff, techs, nurses, and therapists all truly care about each client and make certain that they show utmost care and respect throughout their treatment. Highly recommend Red River as a source for therapy, counseling, and treatment for the betterment of our youth.
