Master Hyun Kim started his Martial Arts studies at the age of four, and since that time has dedicated his life to learning and teaching the Taekwondo way. He attended Yong In University in Korea, where he continued his martial arts career as captain of the team at one of the world's leading martial arts universities.
Martial arts classes will affect your child in a powerful way, providing benefits that will last a lifetime. Our children's classes are designed to target and improve:. However, the most important part of Martial Arts is not the physical training, but the Life Skills that are instilled in all of our classes.
Our adult martial arts classes are designed to improve flexibility, balance, endurance and strength while teaching self-defense techniques. Many of our adults join with little or no experience. Our instructors are always receptive to your questions and will take the time to teach you step-by-step, with patience and enthusiasm.
All new students at Dragon K Martial Arts begin with a Trial Lesson Program. It's perfect for beginners, with no prior experience necessary. The Trial Lesson Program includes both private and group instruction. This allows both children and adults to learn at their own pace and to try it out in a comfortable and encouraging environment.

Our son loves this place and especially instructor Steve and Grandmaster Kim. We went to the Lake Bluff location. I cannot say enough about the great instruction and personal connections he made there. We are moving and it feels like leaving family behind. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. I enrolled my six year old boy in classes hoping that he would gain confidence and strength. He gained that and so much more.
The Masters are absolutely amazing. They are true teachers and not babysitters. They are tough yet caring. They give each individual child the attention they need. Not only do they teach the traditional Taekwondo routines, they also teach real life scenario defense moves.
The price is very reasonable and the class days and times should be able to match most busy schedules.
I highly recommend Dragon k for anyone,
