Services
CODE has experienced sustained, controlled growth throughout its 30 year history. We have continually maintained a "strong" fiscal health rating from D&B and have been ranked as one of Central New Jersey's top 20 private businesses. Code Environmental Services, Inc. was founded in 1989 by a core group of professionals that originated from several of the nation's largest remediation corporations.
CODE has been remediating Superfund sites since its inception in 1989 and is recognized as one of the premier CERCLA Site contractors in the Northeast. Additionally, key staff members have worked on complex, high-visibility Superfund projects dating back to the country's first - Love Canal in Niagara Falls, NY.
CODE has successfully installed a variety of caps at diverse locations - including the bottom of the Rahway River and at Superfund, Brownfields, and industrial sites throughout our service region. We install asphalt, soil, and geomembrance caps; monitor H&S during new cell construction and expansion; and remediate old landfills and surface impoundments.
CODE provides full facility and selective area decontamination, dismantlement, and demolition services at active and closed chemical, pharmaceutical and manufacturing plants; military installations, R&D facilities; laboratories; universities; commercial sites, and residential properties. Work is frequently performed in highly urbanized areas requiring community outreach and close coordination with regulatory officials.
CODE employs experienced field chemists and T&D coordinators who identify, segregate, package, label and stage waste (soil, sediment, liquid, drummed, lab pack, high hazard) for shipment to an extensive network of permitted disposal facilities. Long-term contracts with leading T&D providers allows us to provide competitive pricing, preferential scheduling, and customized disposal options designed to meet specific project needs.
