Five star reviews are outdated and misleading. Management has gotten worse over time and the quality of the Baldwin reflects that. Certain people in management really don’t care. Regular break-ins throughout the years, broken elevators and doors, broken garage gates, malfunctioning fire alarms, poor construction, lack of security and lighting, and snippy management are just a few examples of the quality here. The maintenance staff always try their best to upkeep the place despite lack of support from management and corporate offices. Just see the conversations by residents about ongoing issues

I had been living at The Baldwin’s for over a year. The maintenance guys were always so sweet and friendly, Gina in the office was AMAZING. She is so friendly and understanding, she makes the whole process very easy and she’s so organized. One thing I will remember is New Years, you can see the fireworks light up the sky from your balcony or the parking garage.

UPDATE: I have spoke with management and they are aware of the situation. They have put in place weekend security as well as nightly patrol. They are also looking at putting cameras on all levels that would be monitored 24/7. Glad to see they are taking action to combat theft.
Great apartment complex but parking garage lacks security. My truck was broken into 6 days ago, then another vehicle had the window smashed and broken into the next day. Just this morning YET another vehicle with a busted window right next to the other car, reported it immediately with SAPD. Talked with a fellow resident

Lived there 1 year and 8 months. I was very disappointed with my experience at the Baldwin. Literally the first night there, there was a false fire alarm at around midnight. Since then, it was almost a weekly, or monthly experience, each time blamed on something different. Last year, there was a fire alarm that happened overnight and went off no less than six times. By the end, no one took the alarm seriously and Baldwin staff did NOTHING to fix this issue, but provide various excuses (wiring, an tenant unplugging their fire alarm, system reset…) The gates were frequently down or not operational

POST HAS BEEN UPDATED ON 1/21/22 to show photos from our THIRD break in since our 8 months of living here.
This complex would be great if they cared more about security. A few months ago my boyfriend's back window on his car was broken and when we let the front office know, they did nothing about it. It happened inside our garage. There was no action taken and nobody ever followed up like they said they would. Last night I opened my car door and everything from my center console was in my driver's seat. Our gate leading into our section of the garage has been broken for the last few days so it

U guys knew I had knee surgery yet still didn’t renew my lease! Motorcycle stolen, homeless people sleeping on my balcony!! U guys have a lot to fix. Alarm constantly going off, no security at all. Access is easy throughout building!! I left this review and not one thing I said was a lie!! Then u guys called my family being disrespectful over my review!! That was very unprofessional!! Like I said if it wasn’t for Gina going the extra mile for me I would not have got the service I did!! From one Vet to another stay clear of this place. FYI I bet at least five doors to the garage are not functioning

It has taken me too many months to write this review. My husband and I lived at the Baldwin for a year. Gena and Adam were GREAT!! the maintenance was also very friendly and helpful. We were there when the pandemic started and I feel they did a great job. Complaints were taken care of in a timely professional manner.

My girlfriend and I had been apartment hunting for about a month before we decided to stop by The Baldwin and check things out. Alexis took care of us throughout the entire process and was really the difference maker between the Baldwin and the other complexes we had visited. She was very professional, very kind, and had an answer for all of our questions. WE love our new place here, at the Baldwin and were super grateful for all of Alexis' help. 😊

The maintenance is wonderful, quick and super friendly. The community staff are nice but did not respond to important conversations for weeks, not allowing us to be present for a walk-thru or to hire someone to clean. We moved due to a general dissatisfaction with security, parking, cleanliness of the floors and neighbors.

This is the most run-down apartment complex I have ever lived in. Homeless people haggle you in front of your home. The train is very noisy in this area and will honk loudly at all hours of the day. Say goodbye to your sleep and your health.

Adam Donovan, Joshua Blevins, and the NRP Group are unethical and dishonest. They will give you a nonfunctioning parking permit and then call the tow company to illegally tow and damage your car.

Do not expect to get your deposit back as they will violate the Texas Property Codes without issue.

I've been living at the Baldwin for roughly 3ish months and the fire alarm has gone off twice in that timeframe at crazy hours of the night, the elevator has broken down twice (leaving disabled first floor residents in a bind) and the parking garage's entrance/exit gate is down what seems like every other day. The walls are paper thin (like, you can hear full on conversations) and despite a large sign indicating passing trains cannot sound their horn, they do so anyways.
Truly, the only pros are the location, the maintenance and custodial staff and Gina (part of the leasing team). She

The baldwin has been completely amazing for the duration of my stay here which is over a little bit of a year. And the staff is amazing! the amenities are amazing and everything is so nice and clean unfortunately my lease is up because I have to relocate for work. If I could stay here in San Antonio and not move for work I would definitely renew my lease at the baldwin because they are that amazing! As the other reviewers stated the front office staff is amazing and they definitely are personable and remember your name which I was completely floored about thank you! I honestly cannot say enough

This is my new apartment and I can't say enough about it. It's beautiful inside and out. The amenities are top notch and the staff is incredible. Close to the pearl and other fun attractions. I would recommend this apartment for anyone that likes to be close to fun places and a younger crowd is definitely the norm!

I've experienced a few issues during my 6 months at the Baldwin including a leaky ceiling and broken washer. While this was very frustrating and I considered moving, I decided to finish out my lease at the Baldwin. Although I haven't had the perfect experience, the maintenance team is exceptional. Randy, the Maintenance Supervisor, not only has provided great customer service but is quick to respond. While the property manager and I had disagreements in the past, I have been very appreciative of her recently while my washer has been broken. My washer has broken twice and she has instructed

I've lived at The Baldwin for 2 months now and I absolutely LOVE it. Gina and Adam are the nicest people and are always on top of everything! They send out a new calendar every month with with the latest updates from the complex, any issues we need to know about (also via text) and any cool events they have planned for residents. My favorite part of living here is the FREE Starbucks Coffee! All apartments have a washer and dryer which is awesome! They also have yoga every Wednesday.

I was stressing about the whole process of finding a new place, finding it at a great price with the amenities I was looking for. We found The Baldwin apartments and I was BLOWN away with the quality of apartments and the customer support I received from the staff (I love Gina and Adam!!)

I've lived here for a month and cannot say enough good things. I'm obsessed with my apartment, the amenities, and the staff.

Adam and Gina are like superheroes. No request is too odd, they go above and beyond for the residents here.

This is the apartment I've been searching for. If there were a 5 year lease option, I would sign it TODAY!

As if concrete floors and high ceilings aren't enough - there are also free brunches, taco Tuesday events, wine down Wednesdays, and free workout classes!

I have lived at The Baldwin since June, and have fallen more in love with the complex everyday. Aside from it's proximity to downtown SA, the
ambiance of the complex is amazing. Despite previous reviews, I've met some of the most friendly and cultured tenants residing within the complex, while at the pool. The staff has been beyond accommodating, and always organize events within the complex that cater to a blooming community. The surrounding area is thriving and while walking my dog, I have seen several inventive businesses investing in the vacant lots across the street. It saddens

Worst customer service I have EVER received. The staff gave me false information, and continued to add requirements each time I'd give them paperwork. The leasing manager Leylah was extremely condescending and rude over the phone, email, and even left unprofessional voicemails. I sent a complaint to the NRP group. I also had my apartment on hold legally for 30 days, but Leylah decided to cut it to a week. Extremely unprofessional, most likely illegal, and flat-out prejudice. I can't imagine how they would treat minorities or low-income applicants. Save your time and live somewhere else
