"No pet deposit." Lie. 1 area online says there's a $400 pet fee, the other says a non-refundable pet fee of $500. Either way it's a pet deposit. They're saying it's not a pet deposit because all of it is non refundable whereas typically part of it is refundable. They're trying to put a positive spin on it by saying it is not a pet deposit when in fact a pet deposit is a better situation than a pet fee; So you're a tiny Chihuahua who might have one accident in a year will cost the same as a Great Dane that has a few accidents a year. Instead of getting part of your pet fee / deposit back.I can

We've only been here a couple of months, but my wife and I have been delighted with our decision to move to the Agave. The views are amazing, we're right on the Riverwalk, and we have easy walks to many of our favorite restaurants. Even the view from the parking garage is jaw dropping.
One of my favorite things is the pool courtyard. With the weather getting cooler, we can crack open a balcony door and the sound of the water features makes for a very relaxing experience.

The walls are thick and insulated but the windows are thin. If on Ceasar Chavez side of the building, get used to traffic noise. Love everything else about it. River access, downtown shows/entertainment, restaurants, it is all great. Security is there and the outside is well lit. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

We lived in a Sonder unit (fully furnished) for 4 months while renovating our new-to-us home. We were new to San Antonio and loved it! The location is terrific, our unit was super, and the staff were great when we locked ourselves out ;<) We loved being able to jump on the Riverwalk to walk our dog. The garage parking is a huge plus.

So far we are enjoying our experience here very much. Maintenance has been fast and professional as has everyone we've interacted with. So many residents offered to help us while we were moving and we just knew we picked the right place, right then and there.

Too big! Hallways are super long. Exists are few. There's homeless right outside the place. My unit was on 1st floor on Cesar Chavez, so it's always super noisy day and night!! They did not invest in nice noise canceling windows, nope they are super cheap and thin. Only thing nice about this place is the sitting areas and access to river. Even the pool is a joke because it's all closed in! There's no sun to come into the super small narrow , mega tall buildings all around they cut the sun out. It's just too many buildings and units packed in.

Agave apartments made my relocation from Mississippi a breeze. The amenities and location is outstanding. I had no issues with signing my lease etc while in Mississippi so that when I arrived I could simply move straight in. I love how secure I feel inside my apartment and this location overall. I definitely recommend to anyone looking to move to downtown/river walk area.

I have been living at Agave for 2 weeks and still cannot believe how close it is to everything. The different areas around the complex are great for getting out without actually having to leave the apartments. In my time there I have never once heard my neighbors and everyone seems friendly in the halls. The leasing office staff is really helpful and always friendly and quick to respond. All in all I am loving my experience.

The elevator is broken AGAIN- there are only 2 in the entire complex. WHY should I find this instead of being informed about it from Mgmt - oh yeah, Mgmt mostly sucks.

For over 5 weeks a locked entry door to the building has been propped open by management! There's been no communication to my my service ticket (for 2 weeks) nor communication to residents, save for the sign posted on the perpetually proppopen supposed to be locked door! And in 1 year of residence

Anyone that leaves a bad review of Agave must be one of those very negative people that complain about everything in life. I've been at Agave 4 months and I love our apartment here, the location truly couldn't be better if you're looking for something central and downtown (not to mention on the river). It is very well maintained, shout out to our maintenance crew, great guys - every work order I've put in has gotten resolved either same or next day, and things we bring to management's attention actually gets taken care of. Visited this place a couple days ago, but I’m not impressed by their customer service. The leasing office staff is lukewarm, and didn’t show any interests in helping me figure out a floor plan that suites my needs.
Among all the 10+ apartments I visited in San Antonio, this place has the poorest customer service. It’s sad to say that I initially came in with the greatest hope to lease here due to the central location, but walked out with disappointment. If you are treated like that prior to move in, you can kind of expect what kind of service you would receive after sign the lease.

It's not a bad place at all. The office staff can be friendly but you have to break the ice first and let them know you appreciate them. The apartments are nice and the location is excellent. You can walk to the riverwalk restaurants, the interstate is 3 minutes away, pool, gym, and grilling area. The elevator works fine and they have a garbage chute. You need a key fob to access the garage and each apartment floor. They have plenty of emergency lighting but really need to invest in more security cameras. Security cameras keep criminals away and allow you to fine everyone who doesn't

I lived here for 2 years. The staff and maintenance crew are top notch. I never had to call them twice, the issue was always fixed. Heidi the manager is very friendly and makes things right. My favorite part about this place is the pool. On any given weekend in the summer, plenty of people are down there having a good time. This is a great place for transplants looking to meet new people. They also have occasional get together events for the residents. This place is downtown so it is walkable, a rare find in San Antonio minus the pearl. The things I didn't like were so minor and insignificant

We stayed here for a few nights on a quick little family trip. The building is full of amenities and the rooms have everything you need. The instructions for someone staying on such a short trip were a little messy but once we found our way around it was awesome. Way better than a hotel downtown that costs twice as much for the same space/rooms.

We have lived here for about 6 months and we absolutely love the location and facility. Location couldn't get any better. We love being close enough to walk to Southtown and Riverwalk areas for clubs, restaurants, and stores. It is great having the Southtown area and local neighborhoods (King William etc) to be able to ride our bikes through along with the Riverwalk area
There is a pool and a gym; which we really enjoy the convenience.
Given we are new to the area, we really enjoy the monthly resident get togethers as well. It's a great way to meet our neighbors.

Moved into the Agave in May and have overall been pretty satisfied since. Discovered this place back in March when taking a visit to San Antonio to do a little house hunting. My fiancé and I wanted to live downtown and be able to come home, park, and have bars/restaurants within walking distance of our place. I'm sure like many others we were initially drawn to the Can Plant at the Pearl, but riiiight before we signed a lease there we took a chance and came to see what the Agave was all about.

Moving in has been the best decision we've made! First the staff. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help at a moments notice. There has not been a thing we haven't asked for that they weren't willing to assist with.
Location, location, location. The complex is walking distance from Downtown, the King Williams district, and Hemisphere Park. The Via Transit stops in front of the apartments and you can move to different points in the city. Not to mention, it is located right next to the Riverwalk. You can walk from the apartments to Blue Star easily.
