I've lived in the Lyric Apartments for close to a year, and it has been my favorite apartment rental to-date. The facilities are clean, the staff is very kind and friendly, and I value the amenities -- coffee/espresso machine in lobby, heated garage, dog washing station, top-floor gym with expansive Lake Mendota views, top-floor lounge room with access to wrap-around deck featuring stunning views of both Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. The staff also puts a lot of effort into holiday decor and celebrations - trick or treating, Christmas lights, etc. - which makes apartment-life feel more homey.

This was one of the worst place we have lived in. The management were most of the time "working from home". The amenities were shut down for a year. All other apartment complexes had all their amenities avialable for their tenants. The apartment was given to us in a bad condition, smears in the fridge and the balcony had Cobb webs. A person was assaulted in the apartment complex. Homeless people would get in the lobby. I would suggest to stay away from this place. There are better options elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I lived here for 4 years (and were one of the Lyric's first tenants), and I'm still so sad that we've left! If not for the fact that we've moved out of the state, I'm sure I would still be here for another year. This was seriously one of the best apartments I've ever lived in.
Pros:
- Wonderful staff (shout out to Kaelyn!) - you see them everywhere all the time, beautifying the place and maintaining it with care; they knew my dog by name within the first week of me bringing him home and always made an effort to give him loving rubs
- Maintenance is fast and VERY responsive

I will start by thanking the whole crew specifically Kaelyn Gabathuler who has helped us a lot. My wife and I would like you to know that we cannot thank you enough for what you have done for us! We will never forget it! Giving, Caring, Sharing, Smiling are the freest things on earth and are at the same time the most expensive ones which no amount of money can buy. So, Kaelyn was all of those to us. Again thank you for everything Kaelyn and to the whole team! You're the best!

My husband and I have lived at The Lyric for almost two years. It's been an exceptional experience - the public areas and amenities are cleaned/maintained regularly and kept secure. The apartment interior finishes are really great quality. The property management on-site is friendly and helpful and do a wonderful job of decorating and celebrating holidays. The views of the 11th floor are truly some of the best views of the city. Overall wonderful experience!

Expertly built and professionally managed, this building has been my home for three years and we are renewing for a fourth. The amenities, including fitness center, 11th floor public space and rooftop patio are the envy of every other residential tower. Love that it is in the heart of Madison’s best coolest entertainment district.

I have been here for about a week now and I can say that from the moment I walked in the door with no appointment or anything looking to check if they had any availibitly to this morning where I’m walking out of the lobby fully moved in, they have been amazing. The apartments are beautiful and high quality along with a perfect neighborhood, but what makes this place stand out is the care and support you get from the staff. They go out of their way to ask you questions, see how everything is going and even leave you personalized letters welcoming you. Wow! It’s the little things like this that

I had the pleasure to visit some friends in this building and I have to say that this is a pretty amazing space. Great upstairs area with TVs and views. From what I saw in my buddies place, the apartments are really great too with a ton of amenities. If my lease was up, I would really consider this place.
I tend not to usually comment on other people’s reviews but as someone who has worked in customer service for the last decade I know the proper channels of how to go about critisism. The best way to bring up a problem is directly to the source of the problem, which in this case is management

They make you renew your lease 5 months before it ends. Other places have asked me only 90 days notice. They start doing MULTIPLE showings a week ASAP.
When you move out. You have to pay $100+ for carpet cleaning. With what your paying. It should be included.
Glad to be moving to a better place that doesn't allow showings at ALL!
Can’t wait to vacate this place.
