I have had my hair cut by both Guven and Rose and have been really pleased both times! I appreciate their dedication to their craft and attention to detail. I have have also gotten several Keratin treatments from Hasan. I've had Keratin in the past but the science has come a long way. Hasan worked to find the best solution for my hair: I wanted something not to strong or chemical, but that has a lasting impact. He has done a great job each time and that's what keeps me coming back. He is always interested in how it it is working for me so we can tweak the process for next time.

When I first arrived I was told this would be a two appointment ask, which I was totally fine with. The salon never got back to me when I called to book a correction or at least speak to someone about phase two. I came for color/highlights and a trim, I left with horrid color and "layers" around my face and throughout my hair (the photo included is of the back). I have been going to this Salon for over 10 years. Hasan is amazing ! My cuts last long so that makes the price affordable for me. I have never had a bad cut by him. People always admire it after he styles my hair.

This is a fabulous salon! Guven is the very best haircutter I've ever had! His cuts are stylish and suited to each individual customer, whether it be a coed from a local college or a senior. The shop is relaxing and very clean. Covid measures are strictly enforced. The atmosphere is professional, respectful and fun! Prices are very fair. I always leave feeling as if I've received a very personal boost to my appearance and morale.

I came here couple times now and I am really happy with the service I have received. I always thought that I have a problemetic hair and was not able to achieve a proper style but Guven Salon was able to manage to give me a style! Definitely a place where people love what they are doing!

I came in a week ahead for a consultation. When it was finally the day for my appointment I called in ahead just to confirm the time I was coming in. They asked me if I could come in a couple days later because the person before me was going to take too long. I think calling in a week ahead and having them look at my hair the day I called was more than enough time to plan a hair appointment. I'm glad I wasn't planning on getting my hair done here before a special event.

Silvio is able to cut curly hair better than anyone else I've been to across several cities (and even two countries). He has cut and styled my hair for over 20 years (since my high school prom) and is a pure magician. Truly one of the most talented people in his profession. He is also a warm and wonderful person. He came to our wedding and did a fabulous job for all the ladies: curly, straight, kids -- he is a master at any challenge! I can not recommend him more highly.

In some ways, I think that the mark of great hair is when your hair looks beautifully natural - the color, style, shine - that nobody can even tell it has been colored or treated. That is what was so wonderful about my experience at Guven. I've lived in DC for almost 2 years now, but I've been avoiding getting my hair cut because I couldn't find anyone that I trust to cut or color my hair up here. My hair is very fine and it's hard to find salons that know what to do with it. But those days are over - I've found my salon. My highlights look super natural in my blonde hair and my strands haven't looked this healthy in a while. I'll be recommending to all my friends.

Zina cut and colored my hair today and I've never had a better balayage! She spent the entire morning with me, making sure I was comfortable and taking her time on my hair ( I have very thick, long hair ). I've had a lot of different stylists in my time, but Zina is by far one of the best. I'm picky about my hair, and I like to go blonder every couple of months, but want it to look natural; Zina did just that.

I absolutely love my color and cut. As a short-haired gal with fine hair, I have been struggling to find the right salon for the past year, so I was a little nervous but Genc did an awesome job. My highlights look so natural and my pixie looks cool, yet feminine. I look forward to going back!

The owner followed up with me after he saw this review. He dedicated two hours to correct my haircut according to my wishes, free of charge, which I appreciate very much! I left the salon feeling a bit better about the haircut, therefore I'm updating this review as requested by the salon.
I couldn't shake the feeling that I was held solely responsible for not liking the haircut, but I'll let other clients make their own experiences in how the salon deals with criticism.

I booked an appointment online for the day after with the owner Guven and I was really scared because I've never cut my hair that short but I trusted him and I was beyond happy with the result.
Not only did he respected my wishes but he went beyond by showing me the different styles I could do with my hair and making me feel really comfortable. He's a real magician with his hands I really recommend him!!!!

Hasan is great. My blow outs look terrific and last a long time. He is agreeable and prompt and his work is a tremendous value.

I have been going to Hassan for almost 15 years and followed him to Guven Salon. He is so talented at doing very natural hair color and flattering haircuts. He also gives the greatest blowout! I have auburn hair that can get very brassy, and would highly recommend Hassan for hair color/ highlights for auburn hair and brunettes.

Finding a good salon in DC with reasonable prices is difficult so I'm incredibly excited to have found Guven Salon. Been going here for about a year now since my move from Chicago and am loving it. The first few cuts I ended up getting at other salons in the area had me flying back to Chicago for a cut, until I found Guven and now I can save my flight $$ for actual vacations!
