MAC'S HARPETH BIKES is a family owned bicycle shop serving Franklin and the surrounding Williamson county area. Our goal is to provide a comfortable buying experience in your local bike shop. We have a complete selection of bicycles to fit your needs: kids, family and comfort bikes. Mountain bikes for beginners and experienced riders and road bikes for the recreational rider and the budget racer.
We carry full lines from Fuji, Tuesday, Kestrel, and SE Racing. Stop in and remember how much fun it is to ride a bicycle! Every now and then our bikes give us problems: tires wear out or get flats, shifters misbehave, and wheels wobble. We have a fully stocked service department with experienced mechanics to get you back on your bike.

Services
We started dreaming of Mac's Harpeth Bikes while out riding our bikes. Franklin is such a great place to ride with country roads, greenways and bike paths and yet there wasn't a shop that catered to families and those who wanted to ride for fun and fitness. We did our research and have come up with products that provide the best value and price with the features you want.

Totally shocking price on a brand new bike brake adjustment. The bike needed a minor brake adjustment and Mac calculated a 10 min service, 20 minute service, another 10 and 20 and a shop part and said 112.00. So 1 hour labor to adjust brakes on a brand new bike is $112? Wow, I really don't even know who makes $112 per hour unless an attorney. I'm just Totally shocked that a small business would charge locals astronomical pricing on a brake adjustment. NOT a way to keep clients. Then send the bike home with flat tires.

Bought an 800 dollar bike, they ask if I want to add a kickstand which I did.. When I took it home, I notice a brand new bike has a bad wobble.. I think they literally broke my bike in purpose to get it service. Keep in mind they spun and tested it, no way they didnt see this. Tires touching the new kickstand.. Dont buy bike from this place, I am telling ya, they will charge you an arm and a leg just to fix a brand new bike bought from their store!!!

Wow. I have never experienced such an arrogant retailer. Two questions and walked out.
In response to your reply below, it has nothing to do with the message. There are plenty of bike shops around town they have the same issues yet they are humble and customer focused. You try to make your customers feel inferior and you act like we are bothering you. Until you understand humility you will continue to get responses like there are on Google now.

Stopped by MHB without an appointment and the owner Mac made my experience fantastic! Not only did he help fix the issue with my daughters bike he was easy to deal with and was also talking highly of the other small businesses in the plaza where his shop is. What a great member of the community! Thanks Mac and I will recommend MHB to everyone!-Matt

The guy was not very helpful. As others have commented, he seems like he doesn’t like his job. I walked into the store hoping to get a new bike, but walked away disappointed. He never gave me his full attention. He was “busy” doing something else.
If you are going to be in retail, you have to be in your A game always. You never know who is going to stop by and leave you a bad review.

I came here to buy my first little girls bike 2 years ago. Owner was very helpful in helping me chose the right one. I thought the price on the bike may have been high but he guaranteed me that it wouldn’t have any issues and was a quality bike that wouldn’t fall apart. 2 years later and it’s still going strong. I bought another one yesterday for my other little girl. Thanks for your assistance Mac.

With the closing of gyms due to Covid (and the rise of Spring in TN), I needed a bike to get some exercise. And I also needed a bike repaired for my daughter. I brought it over to Mac's and was so impressed by Mac and his wife's warmth that I started looking around for something used. Mac had just the right thing for me. I gave it a test spin… and bought it on the spot! After riding it for a few hours, I realized it needed some adjustments and brought it back. Mac fixed me about quick--FOC. I'm buying my next bike from Mac. He mad it feel great to help support a local business, too. So,

Kris and Mac are awesome! I was VERY hesitant to start road biking. My husband loves it, so after lots of coaxing we went to Mac's Bikes. Kris spent a lot of time working with me to find the the right bike AND tweaking it to make it perfect for me. As it turns out, I am liking road riding. I can honestly say that if it were not for Kris and… his effort, I probably wouldn't have even tried road riding. Mac is onsite, personable and full of great advice. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced rider, this bike shop is a MUST! Follow-up...I returned a month later for a break-in adjustment
