Traditional Double Queen Bedrooms provide two Queen size beds, an activity table and two chairs, nightstand, and media dresser. Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Roll-away beds are not permitted in these rooms. Traditional King Bedrooms provide a California King size bed, desk and office chair, club chair and side table, along with two nightstands and a media dresser.

The photos are not a good representation of what you get at Kings Inn. From the front lobby to the room, it's like a different place. Our room was overlooking the pool and was not one of the renovated rooms, but it was clean and spacious in the bedroom area. The bathroom sink was the height perfect for a five-year-old and had a sewer-y smell coming from the drain. Maybe they are trying to keep you from getting too close.

I was fairly surprised by this inn. It was clean and the pictures shown online met the expectations upon walking into the room. The room was a good size for the king size bed. The only downside was the bathroom was very small. I laid the bath mat down but when I shut the door, it got stuck under it. So I had to rearrange the mat again. The shower had nice warm-hot water. However, I'm not sure if it was because the person next door was also showing at the same time, but the water was at a perfect temperature and then all of it sudden it got cold and I had to readjust mid shower.

Surprisingly good place, Kings Inn San Diego, considering it's affordable price and central location. Room was small but clean, comfortable and nicely decorated in a retro style. Pool was terrific and warm even in winter. Two good onsite restaurants and parking for car included. The good reviews I read before booking are true.

I booked this hotel solely because of the pictures they advertise on their website. My room looked NOTHING like the pictures. Granted, I wasn't going to spend much time in the room but I still wanted to feel the vintage feeling, which wasn't there. However, the room was clean and very acceptable in that way. I was just disappointed in the decor.

Drove by this place on a weekend trip before the pandemic and wanted to try out the waffle spot. We were not able to since there was a long wait but I kept it in mind when travel resumed. I live 2 hours away but Sea World is my happy place so I go as often as I can. I booked a night to try it out. I was surprised at how pleasant the staff was and the room was very nice and clean. If I had any complaint at all it would be that the bathroom was very small but being that this is an older hotel it didn't surprise me and since it was exceptionally clean I could deal with small. This is the second time we have stayed here, both times were phenomenal!
We came here on our honeymoon and me and my wife loved it. We had the best time and could not be happier!
This year we came for our 2 year anniversary and they got us the same room without even having to ask and we couldn't be happier!
The staff is amazing, the facilities are clean and comfortable, and the area is rife with things to do.
The restaurants in the hotel are to die for! The waffles are amazing and the Mexican food is delicious!

This place deserves at 5+ rating! Don't be fooled by it slightly dated exterior. The lobby and room was nicely renovated and very modern. We got a king size bed room and it was spacious and most importantly, super clean! The room was new and modern after a fresh renovation. The bathroom was equipped with a heat lamp, making the shower so nice and relaxing. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a budget friendly and quality hotel in San Diego. Location is super convenient, close to downtown and seaworld!

I had a fantastic three night stay here while celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Check-in process was smooth and professional, and when we got to our room it was clean, presentable and smelled lovely. It's a modest hotel but that's just what we needed, and the price is very fair. At one point early in the morning my boyfriend needed a plunger for the toilet so we called the front desk. We were told maintenance doesn't get in until 7 AM which is understandable. Stayed one night for the Untappd Beer Festival at Petco Park. We used Hotels Tonight to book same day and was not disappointed at all! Great proximity to downtown. Check in was easy and front desk very friendly. Room was very clean and inviting. I would definitely stay here again! Oh and free parking!

The rooms are nicely remodeled. The pool looks really nice. However, the ac in the first room we were put in was broken. They did move us to another room. The beds are uncomfortable. The pool and hot tub was over ran by another guest and all of their family members visiting the hotel. When brought to the offices attention, they did nothing. Nothing worse than babies in the hot tub. I wish the hotel had adult only times in the pool area. Watching kids run around with food and drinks is definitely not relaxing. Seeing kids jumping in the pool and hot tub with food is just not okay.

Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out process. Clean and updated/renovated rooms. It is noisy on the first floor though because the rooms are Motel style with front doors and windows facing the parking spaces.
Premises are very clean and safe. Lots of cameras and they also have security that patrols.

Stayed here Memorial Day Weekend with my boyfriend. The room was nice and clean and we had a balcony. My favorite thing was actually the balcony... I'd wake up a little earlier and watch the sunrise before The Waffle Spot which was located right next to the hotel opened up. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

The stars are for the AMAZING staff. Best customer service and very attentive to guests needs! Other than that I would not stay here again. Sorry yelpers, you steered me wrong this time The room itself was small, dingy, stale smelling, and barely clean. If we weren't so tired we would have booked at a different hotel.
We only stayed 2 nights, when we arrived to our room it was on the 1st floor next to pool (thank you staff ), the walls are a hospital white color and the floors are laminate. Not a welcoming place for relaxing. The smell was very stale and old covered with a cheap cleaner

Check in was easy and smooth and I'm thankful they let us check in half an hour earlier than 4pm. I did my own sanitation on high touch areas and then some before we settled in because COVID. I was fairly disappointed there was more dirt on my wipes than I expected.
There were a couple of hairs left behind both in the sink and the bath and the restroom lacked proper cleaning all together. There were hairs in the sheets but I didn't mind much since I usually bring my

I posted a review of the Kings Inn yesterday on Google after making a reservation through Expedia, and choosing to pay a higher rate in order to not be charged UNTIL my stay, no charged in any way in advance. The next day, after seeing they charged me $195.75, I called the hotel, eventually got to speak to a manager, cancelled and requested an immediate refund (which over 24hours later I am yet to receive). The manager said it is their policy to charge a nights deposit in advance; my response is that unless I AGREE to pay the deposit upon making a reservation, and chose to pay a HIGHER rate to

Nice motel in San Diego. The motel is located in an area called hotel circle. It's just north of Hillcrest and short drive from the airport and the beaches. Using GOS in my car the hotel was easy to find and highway access was very close. Overall it's a great place to stay in San Diego.
The check in experience was nice. In the lobby they have a small corner area with snacks, drinks, and toiletries for sale. There is also a sitting area and one desktop computer with a printer for guests. Due to COVID the restaurant entrance is outside.
