Services
Like many wineries, Cache Creek started as a vineyard producing stellar fruit and progressed into making stellar wines from that estate-grown fruit. But, before we get to that part our story, let's go back to the beginning. Bill "Poppo" Van Pelt, our father and grandfather, was a visionary who tried his hand at many ventures.
We are forever grateful to the family visionary, Bill "Poppo" Van Pelt, our father and grandfather, for discovering and purchasing the land that eventually was planted to grapes. Our 74-acre sustainably farmed vineyard is part of the 590-acre parcel Poppo purchased in 1997.
Nestled between the surrounding mountainous terrain and Cache Creek, which flows through the property, we planted grape varieties-Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc-that we knew would do well in our microclimate and soil, collectively referred to as terroir.

We are currently offering four tasting flights. Three of the flights are $15 and the Reserve Tasting Flight is $20. All flights includes a logo wine glass that you can take with you. Wine Club Members receive complimentary flights for 2, plus can bring up to 2 guest for complimentary flights. They made us a delicious fresh Turkey Panini to go with a wonderful glass of their Chardonnay.
Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery invites you to join our Wine Club family, and experience our award-winning wines delivered directly to your door. To join our clubs, sign up online or contact Kaitlyn at 707-998-1200 or Kaitlyn@cachecreekvineyards.com. Premier Elk Club Members get to select your own 12 bottle (1 case) shipments-2 cases per year.
Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery offers multiple rental venue options for your private events. Our outdoor patio and concert space, the Bull Room (the barrel cellar off the tasting room), and the upstairs Barrel Room are all available for your private events. Because we have diversity in our venues, we can host a variety of gatherings from a large wedding or elopement party to an anniversary dinner or corporate meeting.

I have ordered a favored Cabernet 2015 vintage) from this vineyard several times since a friend brought it home to CO as a gift in 2019, w mixed results. The first time, I ordered 1 bottle of non-reserve and received 1 bottle of the correct wine shipped in a 2-bottle pkg, and I was charged for shipping 2 bottles. Several months later, ordered 2 bottles of non-reserve and received βreserveβ. Not as delicious) and charged, correctly for shipping. Recently, on 9/24/21, ordered 1 bottle of non-reserve cab, charged $16 to ship 2 bottles rather than 1 w delivery expected 7 (!) days later and advised

Nice winery with landscaping and wines were decent. Staff seemed a little cranky and anxious for us to close down. We got there a little before 5pm and downed our samples pretty quick β¦ we were told if we were there past 5 PM we would be locked inside. Was like a joke but not really. Not the most hospitable or friendly staff weβve experienced.

Visited twice in over three days. The first time the young front desk person was so helpful, I bought a bottle of Port, bathrooms were unlocked and I strolled with my toddler. The second time there was a rude older lady who kept assuming the worst , the bathrooms were locked ( "bathrooms are for customers only π"), my toddler picked up the faux grapes off a display after saying he was hungry for grapes( "those arnt real" well duhππ), the lady snatched away a tasting glass after I agreed to buy a bottle of the wine ("the glass doesn't come with it!"πππ). It is a beautiful spot

This was our first winery stop while passing through the Clearlake area and it didn't disappoint. With social distancing measures in place we got a glass as well as a tray with the five tastings in small cups to take with us outside and we then just poured at our own pace. No one else was there on Thursday around noon and we had the garden area to ourselves.

Completely unaccommodating. Drove out of our way to try this winery (supposedly it had an arrangement with the location we stayed). Not only did they refuse to honor the arrangement in a condescending fashion, they insisted we pay a premium for some event they were hosting, even though all we requested was a standard tasting.
Every other winery we visited was absolutely lovely and was more than willing to let us taste (and buy) -- highly recommend Fults Family and Beaver Creek!
When closing for an event, it would be courteous to post this fact, at minimum on on your entrance signage. Won't be
