People often ask about contact lens exams; it is not the same as your regular vision exam.
If your eyes feel gritty, tired and irritated more often than not, you may be plagued with a troublesome condition called dry eye. Our Tear Institute team uses state-of-the-art technology and treatment options to handle everyday dry eye to advanced cases of an ocular surface disease. Our team screens all patients for dry eye, even if they exhibit no symptoms so that no case of this progressive disease will go unseen.

Great staff and office. Everyone starting with the office staff to the doctor to the young lady who helped us pick out frames was simply wonderful. This was our 2nd visit, first time getting an exam and frames and I must say we have no complaints. My whole family will continue to come back to the Eye Institute.

I visited The Eye Institute for the first time yesterday. I injured my eye in a freak accident and frantically called several places seeking treatment. The Eye Institute quickly responded and scheduled me to come in within an hour. They were warm and compassionate when I arived. My medical needs were met and my eye is healing.. I am so thankful for the professional treatment I received. 🙏🏽

I had a great experience at The Eye Institute OD, PA in Knightdale, NC yesterday. The whole staff was very friendly and professional. I had a very thorough exam both by the technician and the doctor. They had a great selection of glasses to choose from and the staff was very helpful in helping me pick out the best pair for me. I will definitely be coming back to this office for my next eye exam.

I came to The Eye Institute for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful experience. They encouraged me to bring my 3 year old with me to the appointment and the staff were all amazing with him! They showed him all the equipment they used for my appointment and then played with him while I was picking out glasses and paying. If you have kids that you need to take with you to your appointment, this is definitely the place for you!!

Called hoping to be able to be seen with a eye emergency. Got to go in immediately and be seen, which is a miracle in itself in the twilight zone we reside in now. I walked in as a patient, but left as a client. Thank-you for your caring professional staff and to the two professional physicians who both examined my eye. There really isn't enough words to express my thanks.

Went to Eye Institute last week. Everyone was wonderful. Felt very safe with COVID rules they had (rooms were obviously cleaned after each visit). I also have an issue with people near my eyes. JJ did a great job at keeping me calm, encouraging me, and being gentle but getting the job done. Would highly recommend. As long as I live in RDU area, this is where I am going!

I haven’t seen an eye doctor in 40 years, I was having issues with blurred vision. I called around and no available appointments till Nov. I called the Eye Institute on Wednesday at 4:30 pm and they were able to get me in the NEXT day at 1:40. From the start of my call to the end of my appointment. EVERYONE was kind, professional and very informative. My experience here was a 5 stars plus. They had many choices in frames, and I wasn’t rushed to make a choice, I was so delighted to learn about my VSP insurance and was able to get a beautiful pair of glass’s and saved over 800. I highly recommend

I have so many terrible things to say about this place that I don't even want to waste my energy. I have been putting off writing a review for a while now and I don't even care anymore. I basically just GAVE them a bunch of money and the glasses sit on my bookshelf useless...and yes, I went back to have the prescription altered (they allow this ONE time) but it was still so very wrong. And I don't have any nice things to say about the doctor either so....I bet if anyone reads this that has been there knows what Dr. I'm talking about.

I already knew I loved The N. Raleigh location but after visiting this location also, I would highly recommend this office for your eye care if you live in the area. After having my routine eye exam at the N. Raleigh location, I had the time to drive out to this location to check out their frames for prescription sunglasses. The N. Raleigh location suggested this office because of the variety in frames that they carry. Angela is phenomenal at helping you decide on a pair of frames. She is honest, friendly and gives great additional information about sunglass wear. I learned so many interesting

Friendly, helpful staff and one of the best selection of glasses I have seen since The Spectacle in North Hills. I was surprised to see such an interesting selection in Knightdale. I wish the prices were posted on the glasses or wall showing what the color dots mean. Prices are on the high side but they do have nice brands.

I wasn't having any luck with my regular dr so I found this place and absolutely would recommend it. Dr Dhebana was filling in for another Dr. I was so miserable that I took anything available. She was fantastic! I ended up having an allergy that was affecting my eyelids. I had relief that very day. She was very thorough and explained to me exactly what was happening. They didn't accept my insurance because it was out of network and ended up giving me a very affordable price. Highly recommended this office.

Dr. Poiyer is SO good and so patient. I have an unusual situation in that I have to use my eyes one way for work and a regular way for everyday. He took so much time with me getting me two different sets of contacts, one for every day and throw aways for work which I only needed once a week. It took two appointments as I didn't think to bring my equipment in with me on the first appointment and they never charged me for the 2nd appointment as he just wanted to make sure I got what I needed. He is super friendly and explains everything. I was very pleased and highly recommend.
