Remove the "Award Winning" sign from the building! Who rated it? Not a non-smoking apt bldg. They'll tell you there are 'designated smoking areas' & that tenants don't smoke in their units; untrue! Many smokers here smoke where they want to. The smell comes thru windows, walls, walkways, etc. Bldgs have a musty smell. I taped the holes under my sink, to keep out the smell, & behind the stove crickets come make their sounds all night. There are often drain backups, so don't use your garbage disposal much. My kitchen drain had to be cleared as soon as I

A picture of our family in the courtyard of Ocean Breeze. Janet V especially has taken great care of my dad since he moved in. Any time there's an issue or help needed she's there! Thanks Janet 😁

I'm an active Baby Boomer who decided to move here to $ave on rent. What I did was 'Buy a Ticket to Hell.' Was told my Apt. would be Quiet... of course right above Vine St. with Traffic going up & down 24 hrs. a day. Then there's the problem of NO PARKING. They are short over 40 parking spaces where you have to park on the street (or) worse yet a block away in a parking lot.

You can't have visitors because there literally are "NO PARKING PLACES."
If a person parks near office for a little while... he (or) she will be TOWED.

The Buildings are old...

For living less than a mile from the ocean which is what we desired, we know of nothing more we could ask for with this very affordable rent in San Diego county. The staff has offered to do all they can to make our apartment home at Ocean Breeze wonderful, and they have done it.

The new office manager is horrible to the tenants. She is rude, disrespectful and does not care about the welfare of the seniors residing in the community. DO NOT fall subject to this office manager, this community is not a healthy environment!

This senior living was not a good experience. If you smoke, use a walker or wear an oxygen mask it's the place for you. Janet Vosburg is the on-site manager having no managerial or people skills. It took me six months to get an assigned parking space and there is no guest parking. During rainy months the drains overflow and some of the building entrances/exits are closed to pedestrians. The cold weather has an adverse affect on the elevators which become stuck between floors. It is not an active community as claimed. Due to many of the residents health, the fire department, ambulance

I've only been here 2 weeks but so far so good. Really like my apartment and the grounds are nicely kept. The front office and maintenance have been very responsive to my requests. Neighbors are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. My only issue is there is a waiting list for a parking place and nearby street parking is very limited. But they were very upfront about this. It wasn't a surprise. I would definitely recommend considering Ocean Breeze Village.

My mom lived at Ocean Breeze for over 15 years. She loved it so much. Her apartment had a nice patio which she loved to sit out on and tend to her succulent plants. The apartment was perfect for her. She loved the neighbors and made great friends. She played bunko and bingo with other residents in the clubhouse and loved it. There is a lunch hosted every month to celebrate birthdays that month which is really nice for everyone. Any maintenance issue was taken care of quickly by the skilled handyman. The grounds were kept very pretty. My mom, Carole, loved the apartment manager Janet who really

This is a nice, small, senior apartment less than a mile from the coast. It is a good value for the price. Almost perfect for what we were looking for.
Parking is the biggest issue.

This senior community management accepts manager's elderly verbal and emotional abuse to its elderly tenants. The amenities are a joke. Hot tub has not been working for almost a year and the transportation bus was out for over 9 months and did not offer a free substitute transportation alternative until recently. The parking is a joke. The manager allows anyone to move in without a background check. There is a convicted child molester living there and with the residents grandchildren who visit are at risk. Mgr. stated not her problem. When a flyer was given to residents advising about
