I am so happy I just signed for another year here at Villages at Decoverly. 100% of the reason I’ve been here for the last 8 years is the due to Carol Fox being our property manager! Never once in all this time was there a situation that when it was brought to her attention that she wasn’t able to help or give advice in some practical way. Our family has appreciated the efforts of Ms. Fox in her running this large property and with so many varied residents and needs. Kathy is a delight to work with, and the office staff are friendly. The head of maintenance, Freddie, and his team of trustworthy

Noise...Noise...Noise
These buildings are literally from cardboard. On top of that, there are weird noises from every corner of our unit. After a month, and after several (maybe more than 10 maintenance visits), the management said they cannot fix the noises (even did not have any idea what is the source of it) and offered to go out of the contract. But moving is not possible for us at this time and I am experiencing probably the worst year of my life waking up in the middle of most nights because of those noises.
The unit is in 9700 Skyhill building. Writing this info here so the management

These are old low quality apartments with outdated appliances that comes with lot's of maintenance issues! I have been living in a ground floor apartment for 1.5 years...anytime there is heavy/continuous rains, water flooding occurs outside apartment building and worse the water seeps inside the rooms damaging the carpet/liner flooring. This has been happening on and off several times last year....management claimed to have fixed the issue few months back...but my apartment bedroom has water seepage/intrusion 3 times in less than a week, Aug 2021! The issue is the roof gutters/piping is clogged

It's not perfect, but I found it to be a very "average" experience and I was comfortable overall. I lived here for 4 years in 2 different units (West Village).
Pros:
- Convenient location. Quiet and safe
- No issues with neighbors
- Friendly and responsive maintenance staff
Neutral:
- The price isn't great value, but it's fine
- Management may come off a little rough, but most staff were friendly.
Just be patient, mind your manners and you'll be fine
Cons:
- Old units: Outdated appliances, mildly thin walls/floors, limited Internet speeds which were a ripoff price (max 50/10 mbps and

Absolutely worse place to live. We have had our A/C flood which they left our floor wet for a week before having to replace the carpet. Maintenance is the worst and does not care about your personal property when needing to fix something. We had someone come in to fix a damp ceiling and repaint, well they got paint all over our counter, pictures and dishes that were out drying. We also live on a ground floor and our patio kept flooding every time it rained. The complex didn’t do anything about it for a year until we had to threaten calling our insurance for possible flooding.

It's just OKAY.
Pro:
Maintenance is typically very quick to come to your unit once you put in a ticket. They do their best to abide by the notes you give them (i.e - please knock before entering, please don't leave the front door open). The maintenance workers are all very polite, particularly Luis, who helped us out on a few occasions.
Con:
Maintenance comes a lot. Our water heater broke 5+ times in 2 years and they only just now (again - we are moving in a few weeks) decided they will replace the entire thing. The water never got very hot the entire time we were here, but every now and then

For my first apartment by myself, I am very pleased with the year I have spent here. Clean, maintenance is very responsive, great staff. Very COVID safe and respectful. The staff is really wonderful, especially Carol in the leasing office, and the only reason I am relocating is for work. Otherwise I would definitely stay!

The leasing staff are kind and helpful, especially Barbara. She’s always responsive and patient with my many questions. I’ve also worked with the manager, Carol, once and she was helpful in helping me find solutions for an issue I was experiencing. The maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful, although I’ve had to submit the same request a few times to trigger a response. Regardless, their service makes up for it. I’ve met a few so far who have serviced my apartment and each time I bump into them outside, they are always so kind. The only downside is the walls here are very thin

If you enjoy nature and prefer to live affordably near shops, restaurants, and entertainment, then The Villages at Decoverly is the place to live. At twilight, I'd hear the honking of geese in the Spring as they make their landing on the lake viewed out the balcony. Also the adjacent gazebo was a favorite for the songbirds to court and play. My cats also enjoyed keeping watch of their activities. Maintenance was reliable. Management was also very helpful with packages, parking, and move in/out process. The pools were always very clean despite the beautiful mature trees canopying overhead. Easy

I lived at The Villages at Decoverly for three whole years. My windows looked out into this majestic forest with beautiful birds, vibrant colours, quirky little wildlife and in some seasons, a carpet of sparkling fireflies on the banks of a serene pond (which sometime surprised you with a occasional HUGE fish making its way through the depths). I live in a dull urban landscape now and sorely miss the spectacular tapestry of living green that adorned my living room at the Villages of Decoverly. Living at Decoverly was like being in a magical and peaceful resort right in the middle of a crazy work
