Ayurveda provides a way of life, health and healing based on individual characteristics and doshic imbalances. The 6 Follow Up Visits included in the 'Total Health' pkg must be scheduled within 1 year of the Plan Meeting. The 3 Follow Up Visits included in the 'New Life' pkg must be scheduled within 6 months of the Plan Meeting. The 1 Follow Up Visit included in the 'Finding Balance' pkg must be scheduled within 3 months of the Plan Meeting.
Services
It is a 5000 year-old traditional system of holistic healing based on balance. As a Sister-Science to Yoga, it originated in Indian Sub-Continent and is one of the oldest medical practices in the world. It and has been meticulously documented in the ancient texts of ArthavaVeda, Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya, dating as far back as 1700 BCE.
According to Ayurveda, we are all made up of the 5 elements, which have specific functions and create health when well-balanced (Swastha), and illness when imbalanced (Vikti). This can be on a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or energetic level. It takes into account all of the unique aspects and qualities of each person and helps to relieve symptoms, prevent diseases and treat illnesses.
Everything in human life depends on 'Diet'. It not only provides nutrition, but also nourishes sense organs, improves complexion and skin quality, gives energy, maintains good health and keeps human life disease free. General: Excess Vata can be counterbalanced with nutritive and tissue-building foods that are warm, moist, heavy, soft and oily, as well as foods with a sweet, sour and salty taste.
Truth: This myth is rooted in the image of meditation as a practice reserved only for saints, holy men, and yogis. Though it's best to learn from an experienced, knowledgeable teacher, the techniques can be as simple as focusing on your breathing or silently repeating a mantra. One reason why meditation may seem difficult is that we try too hard to concentrate, we're overly attached to results, or we're not sure we are doing it right.
Many events that happen to you and around you -- and many things that you do yourself - put stress on your body. The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive, keeping us alert and ready to avoid danger. Stress becomes negative when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between challenges.

The Ayurveda and Yoga for weight loss was truly informative and educational. Karla speaks from her own heartfelt journey and is able to share her wealth of knowledge in understandable dialogue. I highly recommend any of her teachings, but especially this course!!

Sattvic Sage offers high quality items at reasonable prices! The 'extra' that you get is the attention to detail in each of the small batch products. You can tell that Karla is truly sharing the products that she makes for her own use.
One product I bought was the spiced chai. It is so fresh and flavorful that I mixed it with only hot water and it is delicious. THIS is what chai should taste like. Try it for an earthy spicy delight!

I deal with eczema, GI issues, a thyroid disorder and anxiety. I have seen many different doctors as well as therapists and incorporate Yoga into my daily like to help me with these things. I heard about Karla from a friend and I was very interested in the approach that Ayurvedic medicine takes. One of my best decisions was to get a consultation from Karla. What a life changer! I had been struggling with health issues for many years - not severe illnesses but bad enough to affect my life quality - and Western medicine couldn't really offer a solution. When I met Karla I was fighting a downhill battle with my body. I really didn't know what to do and my health was failing. Karla worked with me to help me understand my body and well being.
