Services
At Optics Plus, Dr. Richard Bauman and our entire Woodbury optometry team are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. As an optometrist in Woodbury, our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function.
At Optics Plus, our staff is friendly and professional. Our commitment is to provide exceptional customer service to all of our Woodbury patients. We take pride in our personalized care and strive to spend the necessary time with each patient to ensure a comfortable experience. Our Woodbury optometry professionals are passionate about providing high-quality care to our family of patients.
For most of us it is easy to take clear, comfortable vision for granted. But regular eye examinations are essential to maintain the gift of good vision, and to monitor the health of your eyes and much more. Your eyes don't usually hurt when something is wrong. Anoptometric examination can pick up signs of eye conditions before you're aware of any symptoms.
Contact lenses are not an easy solution for every person suffering with vision problems. Some eye conditions make wearing contacts a difficult proposition. However, it does not rule out wearing contact lenses altogether. It just means patients need to discuss options with their eye care provider and obtain specialized hard to fit contacts for their specific vision problems.
Optics Plus is an approved New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Vision Testing site. Motor Vehicle VISION SCREENING can be done any time during our business hours (no appointment is necessary) and Optics Plus does this as a courtesy to our patients. Bring your current driver's license. Test results are immediately entered into the DMV database so you can continue to renew by mail or on line.

I have been a loyal client of Optics Plus since it first opened more than thirty years ago. In all that time I have had incredibly good and professional service from everyone involved in the store. Their selection of glasses fits the tastes of just about everyone I know who also use this store for their optic needs.

I had issues with getting the prescription exactly right in my progressive and they redid them until they were perfect. I had transitions made out of another pair of glasses and decided months later to turn them into sunglasses, and they redid them at no charge (other than for shipping). I have a lot of problems with my eyes and glasses, and they did a meticulous job. They were prompt, accommodating and professional. This is the only place I will go for my glasses. from now on.
