Services
Our patient portal provides you with a secure and easy way to manage your health information online. We strive to provide state of the art electronic records, which gives you the ability to conveniently view your information at any time. For any questions, feel free to message us through Klara (see the blue bubble on the bottom right hand side of your screen) or call one of our locations.
If you need a refill, please contact your pharmacy and ask them to send over a request to our office. You may also message us through Klara, our secure messaging system, to request a prescription refill. Important Note: If you have not been seen within 12 months, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
In 2013, Dr. Godwin opened Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut with the goal of having a team of dermatologists in CT that provide personalized care and the latest dermatological advancements to patients through two state-of-the-art office facilities in Norwalk and Shelton. The practice focuses on general dermatology for adults and children as well as cosmetic and laser dermatology.
Dr. Grace Bandow graduated from Vanderbilt University and then returned to her home in Madison, Wisconsin, where she received her medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from The University of Wisconsin. She completed her dermatology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was awarded the Resident of the Year Teaching Award.
Dr. Cantatore-Francis practices in our Shelton and Norwalk offices. She is affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital and Yale-New Haven Hospital. While Dr. Cantatore-Francis specializes in pediatric dermatology, her practice encompasses all aspects of general and cosmetic dermatology for both adults and children.

I really think the customer service of this place needs to be improved.
Last appointment, I was abroad during the lead-up to the appointment and despite have previously confirmed the appointment, on arrival at their location my appointment had been cancelled. Apparently they hadn't check messages.
This time, I confirmed by email. Then today I get a text message demanding that I download their app to re-confirm the appointment - ahh-no. I have enough apps on my phone and do not need another one.
So I attempt to reconfirm using the previous link - that doesn't work. I then click the link on the

I was in a lot of pain and was putting things off because I was scared it was going to be painful and uncomfortable lol. Dr. Bandow was great and helped put my mind at ease. Maybe I watch too much Dr Pimple Popper. They helped when my prescriptions weren’t covered and didn’t make me feel like I was an inconvenience like previous offices have. Thanks! Hopefully I don’t have to go often, but I won’t be worried if I do anymore.

I had an excellent experience at dermatology physicians of Connecticut! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. The doctors are so knowledgeable and helpful. They really try to get to know you and help you out in any and all situations. The whole environment is very welcoming and clean. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a positive environment and to have a good experience.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Grace Bandow last weekend to discuss treatment options for acne scarring. Acne scarring is something that has negatively affected my self esteem for years. While I have not had a treatment yet, I am returning to the office later this month and feel hope for the first time that my skin will look and feel better. With Dr.Bando I was not only met with clear knowledge and expertise, her compassion and empathy for my struggles with my skin truly showed through.

Amazing experience. I went to 2 dermatology offices prior and this office was the only one that was thorough, patient and figured out the issue. They also went out of their way to handle an insurance issue with a medication. My son was struggling for awhile with an eczema issue that caused a great deal of pain. Now that he’s gotten the proper diagnosis and treatment he is no longer suffering. Thank you PA, Kathryn Thompson!

Highly recommend Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut, I’ve seen Kiersten there and she is so kind and knowledgeable and doesn’t rush you out of your appointment and explains everything throughly, it’s refreshing to experience since so many now a days push you in and out, the staff is great and easy going - overall just a great group in the Shelton office and keep forgetting to share - keep doing what your doing, it’s noticed!

There is no better choice of dermatologist than Dr. Godwin. The caliber of care that he provides is so high that, when recommending him to others, I have always mentioned that I wish he was also my PCP and every other specialist I might ever need! My last visit just this week, was terrible. The front desk did not know how to read my insurance, and then the girl who took me back to see the doctor thought she was the doctor. Telling me that what another dermatologist told me was in the angioma, it was just a skin inflammation or a pimple! I couldn’t believe it… I’ve never had the same pimple… for five or more years🙈(it ended up being a cluster of blood vessels that can come to the surface with age and cause irritation)! I was then asked how my perry oral dermatitis is, and it looks pretty good around my mouth
