Kim has worked in retail sales and management in both the non-profit and for profit environments. Her primary duties include managing the contact lens department and general office assistance. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a B.A. in Psychology. Interests include gardening, health, fitness, cooking and entertaining. Danielle is a customer service specialist with over 8 years experience in the hospitality business and 5 years experience with insurance billing.

As a parent, you probably wonder when to schedule your child's first eye exam with a pediatric optometrist. If your child has poor vision, they're not likely to tell you because what they experience is normal to them. We find working with children is very rewarding. There's nothing better than helping a child see clearly and realize there's a whole new world out there.
Generally speaking, the first half of adulthood presents very few vision issues - folks between 19 to 40. Vision issues do become more prevalent in the second half of adulthood - people between 41 to 60. Should you have any of these issues, Dr Giles and his team will provide an appropriate schedule of management and maintenance.
It's a fact, as you age you gradually lose some of your visual abilities. Dr. Giles and his team are very experienced with Senior Eye Care and age-related eye issues and will do everything possible to help you manage and maintain your eyesight. As we age the muscles that control our pupil size lose their strength.
Over the years, Dr. Giles and his team have helped hundreds of patients identify, prevent and manage underlying medical and eye issues. Dr Giles will tell you, "an eye exam is not complete without a dilated eye exam". Why? Because it's the simplest way to determine if you have a chronic eye disease.

Everyone was super nice and explained what every test was for. The doctor took the time to show me what they look for in my eye health and pointed out aspects of interest in my own eye anatomy. The optometrist was really patient and searched for the perfect frames in response to all my whims. I highly recommend Giles eyecare. What a great team!

My visit with Dr. Giles was nothing short of fantastic. The experience from start to finish was smooth — and the staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Giles provided a solid annual examination and some excellent medical advice too. And because they have an eyeglass store in the office, I was able to place my order for new lenses & frames on the spot. A true one-stop shop!

I've been a patient here for many years and am completely happy with Dr. Giles and his level of care for my prescription accuracy. Even better, I am a person who, in the past, has avoided buying frames at the "eye doctor's office" but they carry a great selection and Jim always helps me find a pair that is flattering to my face. The pricing is very reasonable considering that he searches for affordable, quality frames and avoids the designer brand pricing. They are also true to the warranty for scratches lenses. Heading over to look at frames today!

I have been using Giles Eye Care for eight years, and my wife twice that. We love them. Prices are reasonable, service excellent, and appointments easy to get. Jim, who runs the Optical part, could not be a better match for his role. He is thoroughly knowledgeable, has a really nice manner, and is a really decent human being. We count on Jim to help us figure out how to get decent frames and lenses, and, more important, to tweak them when they get out of whack. There is nowhere else we would consider going.
